It's mystery time!

Natushi enters Kinzo's study, the door had been left open. She sees that Kinzo has been shot dead in his study by a cloaked and masked villain. Natsuhi runs in terror, coming out into the main hall. Battler is downstairs, looking at Beatrice's portrait. He hears Natsuhi scream and looks up at her. The masked and cloaked villain knocks Natsuhi out with a fist and Natsuhi drops to the floor.
Battler races out of the house, shouting for help.
As Battler returns with the family and servants, they see the masked and cloaked villain carrying Natsuhi over their back, her purple dress obvious even in the very dark night. The villain realises they're cornered and runs into the garden shed which was open. The culprit closes the shed door quickly.

The family and servants all surround the shed, demanding for it to be opened. It was locked from within. Finally, Gohda gets a master key and opens the garden shed door.
Inside, they find only Natsuhi, crying and sobbing on the floor.
There is not trace at all of the villain.
All that's in the shed is a disheveled Natsuhi, some gardening tools and some cans of old paint.

Who killed Kinzo?
How did the culprit escape from the garden shed while the whole family and all the servants were watching it from every corner?

Natsuhi is an accomplice and her testimony can't be counted on. Kinzo was alive in the beginning.
He pretends to be the masked man and when Battler runs for help, Kinzo shoots himself in the study.
Natushi dresses up as the masked man and stuffs objects in her removed dress to look like a person. She locks the shed and changes back into her dress. She submerged the mask and clothes in the paint buckets.
(Whydunit might be due to an affair with Natsuhi that Kinzo feels ashamed about because it mirrors his relationship with Beatrice-Jr. He blackmails Natsuhi into playing along with the mystery.)

Kinzo, Krauss and Natsuhi had a serious talk. It was clear that Kinzo did not have much time to live, so he concocted a plan. He wanted to go out with a bang, and surprise the family, making them believe in magic. The three of them made a plan.
Krauss would dress up in a black cloak and mask and shoot Kinzo to death. Natsuhi would discover this "crime" only when Battler would be in the main hall. Battler had to be a reliable witness.
Natsuhi screamed and caught Battler's attention. Krauss, masked and cloaked pretended to knock out Natsuhi. As Battler fled to call for help, Natsuhi donned the cloak and mask and put her purple dress on a dummy. She ran out into the garden where everyone saw her. In fact, she was the masked villain and the purple dress everyone saw was worn by a dummy she carried on her back. Once inside the shed, she changed back into her regular clothes and cut up the dummy using the tools in the garden shed. She hid the evidence, including the clothes, mask and dummy in the paint buckets.
Once the door was unlocked, all she had to do was act afraid and disheveled.
Eventually the whole family would believe this impossible crime to be the work of magic, of a witch. Thus fulfilling Kinzo's final wish of making the family believe in the supernatural. Krauss and Natsuhi only agreed to this because they knew Kinzo was weeks away from dying anyway, and Kinzo promised to leave the gold to them if they managed to fool the family/servants.

I thought about that for years. At first, I had a theory that Lambda never existed and it's because of Tohya's broken mind that she exists. Battler read Higurashi and combined the two blond lolis from that story and the memory got broken. That's how Lambda weird has memories of the cake from Satoko.

But I've come to the conclusion that nah, there is no similarities between Satoko and Lambda. Unlike Rika -> Bernkastel, Lambda existed before Higurashi. You see, Lambda is the one who sets up the games. She manipulates causality to set up the board and pieces. Then, she gives her power to someone who makes an interesting wish and they become the hidden villain of the story. Miyo wanted to become a God and Yasu wanted to become a witch. Satoko had no determination or wish. She's just a boring little girl that got abused and used by her uncle.

I could see Ryukishi fucking with everyone and making Satoko and Lambda actually have a connection by making it so Lambda was Satoko after suffering from a logic error after the events of Higurashi. Given how strong she is and that whole magical universe-creation battle she and Bern had at the end of episode 8, I don't think time traveling back to help at Miyo would be something impossible for her.

They all take her to the servants room to lie down on a bed.
Krauss and Natsuhi ask Jessica what happened, but she refuses to say anything on the matter.
Genji and Gohda relay what Jessica said. That "he's here, oh god he's here!". Natsuhi pushes Jessica into talking, but she simply won't say what happened.

Battler, who arrived earlier for a surprise visit is the detective. He inspects the room. The door was locked from the inside, which Natsuhi said is very unlike Jessica. The windows were locked from the inside as well.

I still love the theory of Kinzo working together with the servants to kill his useless family. Creating a body double with six toes isn't beyond the average human. Nanjo had to be in on it, for body double/diagnosis reasons, but also because of being old friends with Kinzo.

You roll, and the last digit of your post is the number of steps you take. Each panel has a different rule on it, as shown in the pic. As I've said before, this really is a beta test to see how and if it works. Rules might change in future versions. The whole board should look a lot better as well thanks to edit-anon, who I'm going to email about this later. I wanted to ask him to make it a bit more appealing. This is just something I fucked around with on MS Paint.
