People seems to think you need to pity Takano, but her backstory is mostly there to make you understand why she's devoted to her grandpa.

She had the means to become successful but was never allowed to get the education to become what she wanted.

Lion killed all the adults after stealing Krauss' key, and then killed Battler's parents.
Jessica surprised him, but he couldn't shoot her, so he missed, accidentally blinding her. After that, he ended killing pretty much everyone, except for that Maria that he drugged, throw on a raft and send the raft away.
Erika died like a bitch after looking for (and finding) the secret mansion. She slipped on a few wet rocks and fell to her death.
On the ninth twilight, Battler confronted Lion, shot him and killed him.

The idea was that Lion and Battler were in love, except that this time, Lion acted alone and got carried away, causing Battler to get horrified and kill him to avenge Rudolf's and Kyrie's death.

Except Battler didn't know about the bomb, Rokkenjima was levelled, and Maria drowned during the tempest, so everyone died. The end.

Also, the structure of the fight itself is great.
The gang correctly find the weakpoint of the enemy and exploit it (which is ironically the single point the 34 manual was meant to cover up with all its scientific bullshit). Immediately, the gang is winning only to be slowly won over until you get destroyed. They all get cornered, without a way out, every breaks down trying to figure a way out, with Rena just saying fuck Shion, just run. Rika has to accept her death, it's great. And when all hope is lost, when Rika was inches from death, *he* arrives.

But both Will and Erika had more handicaps than Battler (although I'll admit Will didn't really need them.) Battler had no Detective's Authority or Theatergoing Authority. He couldn't even use Blue Truth until the 4th game, so all he could do was ask Beatrice to repeat things in red and hope that she responded. Plus he was so emotionally involved early on that he wouldn't even try to reason when it came to suspecting one of the 18. Compared to that, Bern and Lambda pretty much rigged Episode 5 to let Erika win. And when she actually goes against Beatrice at the end of Episode 6 she doesn't fair any better than Battler had.

Longer than the usual chapters I write. Keep in mind this is my first Purple Truth game. There may be multiple ways to solve it but I tried to make my solution the only one that is possible. The deal is that Alice is changing the course of events in the country fragment to influence the outcome of the space fragment, with further information on how to do so being included in the galge. Here she's erasing something that someone was about to say, before this she dialed a number on someone's phone.

It's safe to say that Alice is pretty OP. Hanyuu's powers are still the worst, even the woodland spirit in the galge can at least make pretty effects happen on screen.

Also the new Monochrome Clock is pretty cool
