What I like most about Durarara and Ikebukuro West Gate Park (a dorama starring KimiTaku) is the way it portrays Ikebukuro as a kind of neighbourhood where everyone knows each other. Like, it feels like a tightly knit community in the middle of a big city.

GTO, Water Boys, Ikebukuro West Gate Park and Hito ni Yasashiku are all A++. They're about as anime as you can get when it comes to dramas.

I'm watching this garbage on netflix called "good morning call". I've never watched anything worse in my life but I'm having such a good time.

Just finished watching all of Doctor-X. Great dorama, though I didn't like how S3 was less comedic and had more of a serious feel. Can't wait for October.

What are other good doramas like this? Doesn't have to be medical, I loved the MC and those kind of filler cuts with maajan and shit.

I really don't know why I kept watching Doctor-X. I never really liked any medical dramas, regardless of country, except scrubs (if that counts). However, I just kept watching Doctor-X for some reason. Despite the show being repetitive and so predictable. so formulaic.

The banter between Daemon and the other doctors/surgeons are my favorite parts.

I really hope everyone is back again in Season 4. Going by the latest movie, it seems like everyone will be back.

I also love the theme that plays when the surgeons do their rounds xD

It was a parody of detective shows and featured a main dude and a female sidekick and a cop. Finally finished watching Orange Days. I remember /jp/ recommending it a million times but I always put it aside and didn't want to deal with it. Then after watching the first episode it probably took me another year to pick it back up and finish it. It turned out to be really good, much better than my expectations of it from ep1.
