Because /jp/ doesn't care about Megaman and the Megaman general over at /vg/ doesn't care about Touhou.
Okay, not necessarily, but as a big fan of both series, it's kind of sad that this doesn't get enough attention from both sides.

>>15647852
Last I heard of it was back in 2012, so it's either a very well-guarded game, or it was cancelled.
Leaning towards the latter.

Anyhow.

Looking through the pixel artist's Twitter, there are at least 13 more Touhou NetNavis planned, those being:

Murasa, Ichirin, Clownpiece, Hecatia, Yatsuhashi, Youmu, Rin, Utsuho, Ran, Chen, Shinmyoumaru, Mokou, and Flandre.

Also three more original NetNavis:

Scissorsman, Beetleman, and Chemicalman.

Megaman BN is my favourite entry in the series but I never bothered talking about this Touhou version because there isn't much to talk about.

So, a question to those who have been playing this game: what would you consider the best folder build?

>super armor
Isn't Tankman the only boss that has that? In my opinion, Miko style outperforms the other styles against the majority of bosses, especially if you get ElecMiko and have the corresponding stage chip that paralyzes enemies.
Speaking of paralyzing, I've noticed that sometimes enemy navis will bug out and just stand there without moving or attacking if you stun them a lot, even after the stun wears off. Something similar happens if you hit them with the Wood Sword chip, but instead of just standing there they'll just jump around really fast without attacking while the wood debuff is on them.

>> No.15692719

>>15689536
Really? I could've sworn neither Spanarman nor Genji/Tortoiseman flinch when I hit them.

>ElecMiko + Thunder Stage
Too bad most of the styles I get are Wood elemental. And that Thunder Stage is only available in D/H/N/T code.

About the debuff, I can't say anything about Stun/Paralyzed, but Blind (the wood debuff you mentioned) is actually fairly consistent; speed-type enemies like Sakuya will be locked onto a single panel, while power-type enemies like Marisa will zip around the field. Neither will attack when blinded, so it's fairly useful to S-rank someone like Sakuya with.

>> No.15693822

>>15692719
I went through those bosses again, and Spannerman actually has super armor in his SP/SP5 versions, but not V3. Genji will always flinch regardless of version.
I don't know how the game determines what element you get for styles, but the only Electric chips I use are the Suika chains and Iku.
Thanks for the tip about Blind, I didn't know that.

>> No.15697906

Ah, so it's spelled "spanner".

>>15693822
Huh. You're right. That was an embarrassing mix up. But still, fuck those Super Armor.
I wonder if it's just as random as Battle Network, which is weird since I get three Wood elemental styles consecutively.
Even if I said "useful" though, especially if you have a Fire elemental attack prepared, it's only for the speed-type. Power-type moves too fast that hitting them is almost impossible.

>> No.15697993

Doctor style for me.

>> No.15698146

>>15697993
China style is mediocre at best. It's only good if you have a folder build around obstacle chips, since the charge shot can push them back.

But if you can set them up properly, then theoretically speaking, both Yorihime and Iku (who usually stays at the back row) would be a cakewalk.
Also, obstacle chips has breaking properties (I think), which can be used to disable Pyroman's turret.

>> No.15698876

>>15698146
So, I decided to try these. The verdict?

>Iku.EXE
Horrible. Once she's locked at the back row, she'll spam her lightning attack so fast you won't have a breathing room.
Putting the obstacle to stop her drill attack would probably work better.

>Yorihime.EXE
Workable. But Yorihime's so fast that she can kill you before you can set everything up. Stick to status ailment attack is my advice.

>Pyroman.EXE
Perfect. Once his turret is destroyed, it won't come back for the entire fight. Or maybe it takes a long time, I don't know. Definitely a more reliable method than chucking a Napalm.

You have Yorihime and some of the stronger sword chips with Y, along with two good PAs, and Z gives you all the Zero chips, which are all great, and some other good swords as well. Even though it's unfinished there's a surprising amount of content in Shanghai.EXE given it's a demo.

I just started playing a bit ago. I'm up to the part where you have to bustered the viruses out of the air purifier and I'm getting frustrated because I keep getting sent back to the beginning by the clouds. This got me wondering if I'll have to play through this again when the next update is released or will my saves carry over?

Sorry if this has been answered. I haven't read the entire thread or any of the supplementary material. I'm mostly posting to bump the thread.

Fuck that stage, the third one in particular. Luckily, Iku's stage is a breeze.
Anyway, I doubt it won't be carried over; unless Koki changes the save.she file extension of course.
