I realized a while ago that when I was younger and normalfaggier I had a girlfriend who was pretty much as close as you get yandere (or as we call it in reality, fucking crazy). She acted normal and cheerful most of the time but she was really clingy and didn't want me to be around anyone but her. So far, not to unusual, but she got really mad occasionally when there was no one else about, she threatened me (quite seriously, she wasn't meant it) with sharp things at various times, and once she set her mother's dog on me, which was scariest of all because it was a big evil fucker and I think it would really have attacked me - I kicked a chair at it and ran out the back door and shut it in.

When I broke up with her, which didn't take too long, she basically stalked me for a while, then backed off, but for a good couple of years I'd get calls or sometimes visits from her and I always felt like she was there in my life, not close but not too far. She got in a really bad relationship with this abusive prick eventually and I never had anything to do with her again. I didn't even think about her until recently someone told be she killed herself, and apparently one of her friends still blamed me for it. So yeah, crazy people aren't so cool in real life, 2D is superior as ever.

yanderes are only dangerous if you don't know how to make the relationship work. It's pretty simple once you know what you're dealing with:

1. Be sure to remind her how much you love her. When prompted, re-affirm your hatred of those other skanky, dirty whores.

2. When she starts talking nonsense, she is being put under stress. This stress is based on the belief that you are being unfaithful or planning on leaving her. Pacify her with constant attention and sex.

3. Contact with the opposite sex in public should be kept to a bare minimum -- the assumption should be that she IS watching.

4. The yandere likes to do things for you, so keep her busy doing chores that makes her feel she is strengthing her relationship with you.

There are a lot of "insert_thing_or_concept_here makes everything better" flating around. However, few are as true as "yanderes make everything better".

Shuffle! was treated like any other shitty H game adaption on /a/ -- largely ignored with only the odd thread. The who story is damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's either:

A. Yukki is betrayed or
B. Yukki goes with Yuno, and Yuno pulls some insane stunt to insure her own happiness (She was willing to kill his mother if she didn't approve of Yukki and Yuno's relationship).

As good as Yuno's intuition about things is, I can't really bring myself to like her. Not (only) because she's crazy, but because, as much as she adores Yukki, her actions tend to be incredibly selfish. Yes, selfish. Even if people weren't out to kill him, if Yukki were to even attempt to make any friends, Yuno would try to stop him. Really, all the betrayals seems like a contrivance to force Yukki to rely on Yuno, instead of actually growing up as a character.

Well, the only reason why she's trying to kill his "friends" is because of the Game. Before, and she even mentions this in a scene after the kidnapping thing, she was content to simply follow a path next to him, even if the paths never cross. She said she just wanted to protect him. Now that there are fuckers all over the place trying to kill him, it's only natural that she goes into overt Yandere action mode. And in the process of protecting him, she ends up coming into personal contact with him and kissing him. So now the potential for total Yandere is complete. Because she has a stake with his safety and with him romantically, and she's a fucking Yandere.

Yuno I have a hard time seeing as a real yandere. She lacks the overwhelming atmosphere of mental illness. She's too cutesy about the whole thing. Yanderes dont like being yandere; their minds are typically a seething wreck, and it's a condition somewhat like torture. Yuno comes over less insane and more "strange". Also, yanderes don't go around carrying knives and mid-evil torture devices, and they aren't doing random B-and-Es. They reach for the knife only when they've hit a breaking point and decide upon a Final Solution (usually with delighted laughter at how simple it is).

3. Stalks you -- this is absolutely normal behavior for her; if she couldn't stalk you she would become quickly stressed.

4. Gets angry at you: her yanderu is emerging, and it's now critical that you bring her back down. Re-assurances, attention and sex constantly until she has no more signs of stress.

5. Becomes abnormally illogical or displays strange behavior: she is at the breaking point and is about to have a psychotic episode. Her emotions are in control at this point, and she's suffering greatly. She must be detained and made to hear your voice and she will ventually collapse.

6. Loses the light out of her pupils: she's lost it and she knows she can kill. She's fallen to a psychotic episode and in an effort to take back control of her mind she surrenders to her emotional impulse to kill, destroy or hurt. In this state she has more presence of mind, but her logic will become almost child-like. You must not display any fear or weakness, and you must talk to her gently while holding her gaze firmy. Her episode will subside.
