But I want to talk about something else here.
In games and manga Sanae talks very little about outer world. She asks and learns about Gensokyo, its inhabitants and rules. And we learn about Gensokyo together with Sanae. Where did Sanae live before she came to Gensokyo? What school did she visit? We don't know and I doubt anyone fucking cares.
But it's different with Sumireko. In latest WaHH chapter we got more info about outer world than about Gensokyo. Schools, heat waves. You will probably be surprised, but I'm not interested in that stuff. Because I already know it. Because I already live in OUTER WORLD. And the very title of the new magazine implies that the new story might have more focus on Gensokyans learning about outer world.

It is by far the most boring book, and that's saying a LOT with FS being Akyuu and Kosuzu talking about japanese mythology for half the chapter nearly every time that will be completely forgotten by the characters the next chapter or two.

Rinnosuke exists for the specific purpose of making Gensokyans learning about the Outside World interesting. His self-centered delusions and misinterpretations, and how he passes those along to the characters that visit him are how the concept is made entertaining. If you don't enjoy that it's fine, but saying it's "shit" just because it doesn't pander to whatever dynamic you're used to or prefers is just dumb.

Also, people have discussed time and again about how he could just ask Sanae about the Outside World, and now that's basically what is probably going to happen through Sumireko. It's probably disappointing for Sanae fans indeed, but y'all niggas are getting exactly what you were asking for.

Nah, it was always like this. I wasn't here for the fairy manga in 2008-2010, but for example we had to wait at least a month for WaHH translation from the very first chapters. And discussion threads usually were pretty slow unless new chapter had a popular 2hu in it or it had some controversy topic (e.g. that chapter with Yukari talking about food for youkai in Gensokyo).

Those assumptions are always pointless. ZUN never explicitly states which heroine defeated the last boss and he tries to avoid any kind of implication in his works.
I remember dozens of anons claiming that Marisa just reached stage 3 in SA, then stopped and went back. And later those people were completely blown the fucking out by WaHH. Even though some endings have a continuation it doesn't mean that this character was the only one who resolved the incident.

Not really, the translations by decent folks like Forza are done privately and proofread by other translators if needed. For things like interview and book translations, it's become the standard that people don't want to try their hand if they aren't totally confident since in the Touhou fandom we know poor translations get shit on like nothing else. So stuff like this often has its primary translation done by a select few people and if they're busy we'll just have to wait.

Is Forbidden Scrollery fully translated yet? The wiki only has up to Chapter 27.
