I researched a little about onahole composition (I wanted to see if I could make a slimegirl figure).

The thing is that there is 3 basic types of materials. Thermoplastic elastomer, PVC loaded with phthalates and silicone.

The ones made with TPE doesn't have a strong smell and should melt under high temperatures but I have placed my cheap one on water at least 50°C without problems. Probably doing this often will reduce their lifespan but it won't cause immediate damage.

Phthalates are an additive used to make hard plastics soft. The ones made with PVC loaded with phthalates have a strong smell and the phthalates will escape the toy over time making it "sweat" an oily substance so I assume that high temperatures will accelerate the process. Anyway don't use them, phthalates are bad for you.

Silicone should be the most temperature resistant ones. Depending on the kind of silicone rubber it could resist boiling without problems.

Generally the deattachment of the two layers caused by poor adhesion/bonding during repetitive friction, uneven stretching due to difference in elasticity and even just plain bonding. Also molding, form, mass. shape, contact area and material dependent.

Dual layer is being thrown around rather wildly now because of the inclusion of another material. Some products leave a thin and often nonexistent layer, and is really material and mold dependent, so I doubt they have a lot of control over it. Other products have a thick, set secondary layer that you can really feel the difference in. Thinner layers provide less of a loss in material should the layers split, and the thicker layers mean that you're losing a lot of material(and often important areas such as the entire tunnel) when they do decide to split up.

Which is the point exactly. NLS, when compared to other Japanese retailers, still have a larger markup for more popular products, which is about 200+ JPY on the average 2-3k hole. They even have an international markup if you compare their EN and JP pages, even with Japanese tax.

I was going to save up for Mao, but they increased the price by about 10k JPY. Because it's a large hip, expect bigger shipping costs. Up to you if you deem it worth the cost.

Just want to share a general tip I discovered while playing with the order screen at NLS with small toy bags (11g).

I've plotted a simple price index of shipping prices between DHL and EMS for Zone 2. Found tips that's not posted in the pastebin.

Tips are:
- Weight brackets for DHL goes up in 500g increments.

- Weight brackets for EMS goes 600g, 900g, 1500g, then 500g increments.

- Packaging weighs 200g. So when ordering it's your orders + 200g.

- I found a sweet spot for deliveries at 2000g. DHL is at 4060 JPY, EMS is at 4000 JPY.

- Then it continues to separate from there at about 500 JPY difference.

- I think later on probably around the 5000g mark, the prices intersect again. I only went up to 3.5 kg.

Powdering depends entirely on the hole IMHO.

Some require powdering after every wash (Super Tight Declaration: Shimetan), some after 2-4 washes (lolinco, Rina), some basically never (va admission, R20, Kashin).

Hell, you don't need to powder your holes, but most get sticky, when they get sticky shit gets stuck to them (dirt), and in my opinion, sticky is horrible.
