Addendum: HL is a great game. One of my favorite ones of all time is Half Life 2. I just love the settings and the story, because it just has the right feel to it. You're in a world where aliens have taken over and made Earth their playground, to do as they please. You are the only hope humanity has. A scientist who just manages to not get killed instantly. People regard you as a miracle. The airboat levels, the levels in City 17, and a whole bunch of memorable stuff is why we don't need a HL3. We have a great game and an epic story. I'll clarify then. It's not an old game like Super Mario World, but it's showing it's age. The story is excellent and I honestly wish more games would emulate that aspect, because it would make things a lot better. Playing an immersive game with a great story is like nothing else in the gaming world.

HL was made with an innovative graphics engine for it's time, but we can do a lot better now. I would love to see a HL3 made with the current engine. That would be amazing, but I kind of have to temper my excitement because I know it might never happen. Sorry to say that, but it could easily be true.
