What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.

I also really liked racial merge, but unfortunately ayakashi contract is not as good as it. Its not too bad ot not unplayable, but dont expect something like racial. Common route is too rushed even though it gets a little better at later parts and there isn't any event between common route & confess scene which is worst. It goes like common route > you choose one girl > she confesses you in 2 min after. They should have made some events between those since I'm not even sure why the hell did they suddenly decided to confess.

But there are some good points in it as well, For example Tsumugi (the orange haired girl at the poster) is not the main heroine, actually main one is the black haired one who is the best heroine. I liked how all of them are connected by some kind of youkai issues and become a group of weirds as well. I think ayakashi had the potantial of surpassing all other AXL games, but because of the bad pacing & some really annoying joke characters it become a pretty average game.

I see, that's too bad. Thanks a lot, I'll probably give it a quick try if I have some time. They do have the setting area well thought out but they still have work to do on their execution, huh.

Different guy here, but I'm enjoying it much more than I expected. Unless it derails into a mess in the end, I'll probably be able to recommend it to anyone looking for something cute and simple.

The heroines are cute: Chiho is your typical doting childhood friend who very obviously has a crush on you and wants to get in your pants, but she's always there to help you and never gets obnoxious (like, say, whats-her-name from Puramai Wars, which I do remember hearing complaints about); Hitomi is a smug little motherfucker who helps you with filming, though I look at her more as a little sister to love than a target of affection, if that makes any sense; Miyuki I feel comes off more than a bit overbearing, but she's not really that bad; Nori is a shy girl who turns out to be a wizard at video editing.

Currently going through Nori's route, and it's developing pretty well for the most part. She gets a lot of time to develop, and of course gets a lot more open as the relationship develops. This is as far from objective as it gets, but it just feels nice. Reminds me a lot of Clover Day's and Tsubame's route, which was the most enjoyable route I've gone through in a long time, so that's good. I haven't checked if it's actually the same writer, and ultimately it doesn't really matter to me, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

Now here's a pair of tits to get you more interested in it than the rest of this post will.

Question for non native speakers. How long did it take before you tackled reading a particularly hard to read VN like Dies Irae or Muramasa?
Specifically about how many VNs did you read before trying to read them?
Did you still use a text hooker? Did you have to look up many things? Any other comments?

Right now I've basically just started by journey playing VNs, I've read about 5 untranslated and rely on looking up kanji via text hooker less and less. I planned on taking a shot at Muramasa once I've played about 10 VNs or so, and no longer need a text hooker for the most part.

LxC2 is perfect if you want dating with a real-world setting. The whole game is focused on getting a girlfriend, dating, ichaicha and lewd aspects without any forced drama or bad plot to get in the way. Art is also fantastic.
Magical Charming is a worthwhile read simply for Orietta and the non-main heroines are also quite cute. Like LxC2 there isn't that much drama apart from some parts of Orietta's route and the short true route, just tons of cute stuff and some humor.
Twinkle Crusaders and especially its fan disc have cute heroines, great gameplay portions and pretty blood-pumping music with mostly drama-free routes. Princess Witches from the same studio is also worth checking out, though it's a lot more plot heavy (which is quite good) and some people might not like the abundance of random sex scenes from the get go.

Yeah, you need to use the download manager after registering on Baidu first. It's actually really easy, look up a tutorial. And the downloads are fast and stable as long as you're using it. Also Baidu has many uploads that are hard to find elsewhere.

I would think about it if I got to eat off it since murricabux are worth quite a bit more here, but maybe if I start treating translation as a job it wouldn't be fun anymore.
Plus I don't want to really charge for this kind of thing, and it's a difficult world in my eyes because:
1) You EOPs are insufferable
2) I tend to revise things to maintain personal standards so I would take a long(er) time
3) What people want is not necessarily what I like
4) I'm not good working with other people so I would take longer to do everything
5) In the case I worked with someone, I can RevEng and TL myself, so I expect potential teammates to do the same, kind of like the insani people

It's easier just to enjoy eroge and not deal with this kinda bullshit.

In all honesty, what would be a good reason to translate a vn? The only reason that comes to mind is e-peen, which pretty much explains most of the current fantranslators. Love of the medium and wanting to share something you love are great but those seldom last for 6-12 months of thankless work.

I got the normal end on my first try and the cliffhanger/unanswered questions in the 2nd game makes me want to play the 3rd game immediately.

You should have aimed directly for Ushio's route, their romance is pivotal in the third game, which will assume you know they are in a relationship, more or less.
So basically go back and do her ending, because it's relevant.

Ushio has short routes / epilogues in the first two games which take place after the main plots. It's just that you can actually miss out on them unless you pick specific choices during the main parts of the game. The epilogues don't really have any major plot points or anything like that, but the third game (and Ushio's epilogue in the second game) treats Koga and Ushio being already in a sort of relationship.

If you ask me it's a retarded system since players that don't use walkthroughs and just want to play through the main plot might never know about the epilogues even existing until the third game. I wouldn't have if I hadn't checked out a walkthrough for the SSS ranking.

Well, she has this whole I'M THE MAIN HEROINE aura around her, so not even seeing the choices to fuck her seems probably weird.

The worst thing is the first two games don't really allude to her having a "route" in the first place (apart from missing CGs and recollection scenes if you did the crappy side routes), probably leading many players into thinking that she only gets a route in the final game when in fact they've already had sex twice by that point. Probably not that big of an issue when the games were first released, but I can see how the system would fuck over players who plan on breezing through the trilogy in one go, especially as >>13734423 mentioned, the second game never mentions anything about their relationship unless you unlock her epilogue in that too.

Perhaps, but there's not more than 1 or 2 with non-shit art

I've heard about this game but never knew that it's a trilogy. So how's the game? Seems to have decent scores on EGS.

Will playing Euphoria ruin your life?
I've only read baby tier thrillers like Dangan and 999.
I want to hear testimonials

They're magical school mystery games. I originally started the first two as fillers before reading anything about them beforehand. The first game is only okayish and it serves as an introduction to the setting and characters and the easy to figure out cases / chapters are mostly their separate things with no one bigger continuous plot yet. The second game is a hell of a lot better with a more coherent overall story, great new characters and lot of twists and turns towards the final chapters. Third game was a satisfying finisher to the series and explains all the remaining mysteries, but the second game still holds a special place in my heart due to starting it with no preconceptions whatsoever and ending up liking it a lot.

Pretty nice looking and has some good music too. Also, as many have mentioned before you should skip the side heroines' "routes" in the first two games. They're extremely short with no real plot apart from fall in love > H-scene > ending without even any credits rolls and some of them make zero sense considering later revelations. Only do them if you really like the heroines and are fine with any sort of extra material. However you should unlock and play through Ushio's epilogues (that you might not get depending on your choices even if you finished the main plot) in the first two games as the final game references them already being in a relationship.
