I had a nightmare that a fat red fist-sized spider with giant fangs was sitting in my chair and when I finally got the courage to kill it it pissed acid on the chair, spit venom on my face, and disappeared under my bed.

Spiders are my favourite invertebrate. They are my greatest ally to rid the world of mosquitoes. I wish that phenomenon occurred where the trees look like cotton candy from all the spider web over here.

Well, I'm not going to use my hands, and sometimes a plastic cup is too far away or the spider's in too awkward a position to use a cup so I have no choice but to squish it.

Regarding the thread's subject matter: please do not kill spiders unnecessarily. Just like you, they're lonely NEETs who only really want friendship in this dark and unforgiving world..

I just flick them away when they're on something I don't want a spider on. Hopefully this doesn't injure them.

None. I usually leave spiders be. They don't bother me much if they stay off me. Cockroaches and house-centipedes I kill on the spot though. They're gross and creep me out.

I'm a little worried though because I recently rearranged my room to fit a bigger bed. The head of the bed is in a nook where my computer desk used to be, and I very often got startled by spiders descending from the ceiling of that area in my face while I'd play games. This will be the first summer since I put my bed there...

The weight of insects eaten by spiders every year is greater than the total weight of the entire human population. They eat more insects than birds and bats combined. They really should be considered one of man's best friends.

For a few years I had to capture them and put them outside so they wouldn't die. I had a roommate that would kill them sadistically. His favorite method was putting them into empty jars in his room so they'd starve to death. I don't entirely know why he killed them like that, I think it was most likely he was raised to think of certain animals as evil.

Spiders mostly just sit around all day, alone in their little web homes and they don't make noise and don't cause trouble and I can respect that. Spiders are very respectable creatures.

I think there are at least 5 spiders scattered throughout my home, that I know of. I still find these gross little bugs every now and again, so they're clearly not pulling their weight around here.

I used to be pretty spooked by spiders as a kid but now I leave them be unless they are in my bed or hanging over my head, then I catch them and put them outside.

I wouldn't mind Yamame in my bed, though.
