The Danmanku system was introduced partly to counter this very thing occurring. Youkai are not allowed to fight with brute strength and have to fight with danmanku, she can fight intruders with martial arts but if they were to challenge her to danmanku (like Reimu did) then she has to fight in that way.

I hace seen first hand what half white and half asian children and adults go through in terms of finding idenity. Its something I've genetically have never had to face.
