I managed to beat Remi on hard, but for some strange fucking reason I can't get past Patchouli on normal or even easy. I think it's because the game lets you relax before hitting you with the difficult stuff, it totally throws your rhythm off-balance.

EoSD, UFO, and GFW are just really hard for some reason.

Well it's not some reason. EoSD has a lot of random bullets, UFO has that gimmick on top of pretty legit hardness, and GFW does bullshit because the game is about using your freeze to counter bullshit.

As long as you keep trying you will definitely beat it someday. 6 Months is a long time for beating normal mode though, maybe you should approach the game more systematically? If you have a plan for what you want to do things get a lot easier
