Can Youmu control Myon or does it just lazily float around her? I don't think canon ever clarified this.

On a side note, it's very strange to refer to Myon like it's a separate being when it's just half of Youmu.

I don't think it'd be that much of a hassle. I think it'd be worth having one if only for the fact you could use it as a hug pillow every night. I wonder if it heats up if you hold it long enough.
