What does Tuhu grils hair smell like?
I think Koishi's hair smells like fresh mint

Terrible, I'd think. That smell just stays in a room and won't go away for a while. Try rinsing the grill under warm water for a bit before scrubbing it with a brush, see if that helps.

People have used natural ingredients to pretty themselves since ancient times. If we find out what things can grow in Gensokyo and cross-reference it with anal anon's analyses, we can find out what they would likely smell like.

There must be someone in Gensokyo who makes soap. If not, someone should get on that. Just think, you would be privy to the knowledge of what every 2hu smells like when she's fresh out the bath.

Bar soaps are made from animal fat, so you want to start by looking for the ugly faceless butchers who star in so many rape doujins.

While the Japanese have a long tradition of bathing, they don't actually have a long tradition of using soap - traditionally they relied on friction to scrub themselves clean. At the time that Gensokyo was closed off from the world, soap was already being imported from the West, but not domestically produced.

That notwithstanding, they have a long tradition of using fragrances, and particularly incense. So, whether a Gensokyo girls smells like a traditional or modern Japanese girl might depend on whether they have modern or archaic sensibilities.

How to instantly shock any normie:
Rub some water on your hand.
Grab their arm
Rub your wet hand into their arm.
Laugh at their horror as layers of dirt pile up.

Soap isn't very useful at cleaning skin per se. It encapsulates dirt so it rinses off easier. Modern Japanese washcloths are very rough compared to everywhere else. Whether Japanese soaps are made with the same strength of skin-drying materials as the west, I don't know. If you happen to be a rich Indian, you can use low-class women to bare hand-wash you, all without soap.

Patchouli's hair smells like sandalwood.

It's a clean, feminine scent which fits an indoor-type girl who likes to read in the bath.

But there's an incense called Patchouli. In fact I use it myself everyday, that's what I like to think Patche smells like.
