Alright here is how it went.

I order 7 items from A-H and the shipping didn't change. So that was around the price of 1.5 KG of EMS shipping from Ami Ami for Ameribucks. If it was Yen then it would be 1.3 Kg. This equates to around 3 fumos worth of goods, order more than that and you are ahead on sipping costs if you got with EMS.

The main problem was they are charging extra for foreigners, as the confirmation e-mail about the goods listed their Yen prices. I paid in Ameribucks from the price on their site and the conversion wasn't even close.

And they charged more for Kokoro than the Rabbits, even though the Yen prices for them are all the same. They also charged Tax, which AmiAmi did not.

So in the end although I saved about 20 dollars on shipping, but I got charged 40 dollars more because I don't live in Japan and taxed. I don't think there is anything I can do about the tax, but I am going to try to talk to Pay Pal/My Bank and see what the deal is when I give them the confirmation, what the conversion for that day was,and see if I can get charged differently.

I am also comparing this to the other e-mail with the Yen amounts and I think that has tax in the total, but you are right that it was subtracted in the total for the dollar amount. That was throwing me off as well as tax not even mention by AmiAmi.

It looks like A-H have a conversion of about .01066 to 0.011 for their site instead of the 0.0085 I see listed online. That is pretty bogus.

Kokoro is listed as 38.02 Ameribucks on the site, but the other e-mail I get lists her as 3500 Yen. Kaguya is even worse at 33.95 Ameribucks but only 2100 Yen =(

There is an appeal to underground, unique, one-of-a-kind custom fumos. How do you even go about making fumos? Are they all just re-purposed from other stock fumos? It's one thing to make stuffed dolls but is there a guide somewhere to get them all looking so uniform. Like a fumo has to have a head that's +/- x in circumference or the hair is made of a certain material?
