If you don't mind my subjective and obviously biased opinion on Nanase... I don't fantasize of her as a submissive girlfriend at all, but rather I feel like I started cheering on her because I can relate to her. She is shy and somewhat fragile, with artistic tendencies, but at the same time very determined and hardworking. Seeing her just warms my heart every time and I want to see her succeed and flourish, which has been going pretty well so far (she was back row when she became my oshi).

But overall I think Nanase has the kind of starpower that makes her attract various kinds of different fans. There's her fashion sense for young girls to admire, her emotional sensitivity for grandpas to want to protect, her adorable personality to make young men romantically attracted to her and more. Some idols attract very specific niches, others like Nanase (or for another example, Acchan back in the old days of AKB) have "it" to make themselves appealing to people from all walks of life.

Well, she kind of has both. And I think what you experience with Nanase and Acchan very easily happens with this kind of types; because there isn't a specific appeal (e.g. perfect looks, great at singing, variety, tsurishi skills) their appeal is usually nearly impossible to explain when someone doesn't get it.

If you get it, though, it's often hard to resist their appeal. For me, Nanase is just the perfect idol and I can't ever imagine anyone coming close to her.

I read somewhere that Aki-P himself initially thought of Ikuchan as Nogi's Acchan, since she had a "similar aura".

To this day, I don't get that shit at all.

Acchan was a literally good for nothing crybaby that was put in the center for the rule of drama, since she was the only one who didn't want to center and nobody thought she could do it. Ikuchan, on the contrary, is the living image of a refined overachieving young lady (even her lack of cooking skills work positively for this; she's no servant) to the point that, even with the huge presence she has in Nogi, we still get the feel that she could do much more and is been wasted.

So, please, somebody please explain me how Ikuchan is remotely similar to Acchan, cause it just keeps making less and less sense. I mean, even the fucking haircut works differently: it actually helped Acchan's centerface but it constricts Ikuchan blooming beauty. What the actual fuck.

Komi has been doing pretty well in handshakes recently, she's been getting a lot more photo shoots and has a decent amount of face time in akbingo! now. She's easily in the top 10 up'n'comers in AKB (not including sister groups).

Sumire has fit in VERY well in SKE. Even Suzuran is finding a place in SKE right now. SKE is desperate for new interesting members that can't shine in AKB despite having interesting charas.
Look at Minarun. She's now an SKE staple. Honestly they should have let Rie stay in SKE and allow her to transfer. If they had she would have been much happier than she is now. She's miserable in AKB right now.
Karen would have made a good place there. I think the issue was that she's young and her family isn't close to Nagoya. I don't think she wanted to be away from them. She did seriously consider it though. But there are far more opportunities to shine in SKE than their is in AKB.
Also the high turnover rate due to mass graduations leaves big gaps in SKE that often can't be filled by KKS.
You'll probably see a bunch more no-mid name AKB'ers transferred to SKE in the next shuffle.
Still breaks my heart when they told Rie that her concurrency was over and she broke down crying on stage.

As much as I hate Sasshi. She stabilized HKT. She has huge contacts in show business, gets lots of screen times and opportunities for the girls. Getting center cemented her in terms of her pull with management meaning she can protect the girls from fuck up managers.

AKB has Takamina and some strong personalities who have been with the group longer than most of the managers have and also a direct line to Yasushi.
NMB... I'm not sure. They don't seem to have this but they avoid mass graduations.

SKE doesn't really have an over arching person that is the face of the group. Rena is too busy with her own things that she barely gets a chance to help the others. Jurina is more involved with AKB and who can blame her. There's no real cornerstone of SKE that keeps the girls together and fights for them against management if required. That's why we're seeing lots of graduations from SKE. The management must be fucking terrible.

Is there a specific person in SKE management that is causing this? Why hasn't anyone said anything to Akimoto?

Shit must be hard on Churi though. I've seen her and Airin just get more and more stony as they get older. They're not the fun pair they were before. They seem angry and deaf to the plights of their juniors.

Rena has really distanced herself from both of them, Nishishi too. Which is weird since Nishishi and Rena were legit in love with Airin for a while but that's gone.

What happened to Churi and Airin to make them like this?

But skimming through it with my basic japanese, this was all in response to a post Juna made earlier.

Churi starts by saying she wants all the KKS to see this post. She then goes on to talk about how she kept the KKS back after last nights performance to talk to them about things.

Apparently she refused to let them leave. Juna got really upset and depressed. KKS told her about being under a lot of pressure etc and don't have many chance to raise their status or get positions in the teams despite working very hard.

Something abour Riho's graduation I think and how it's only because of Riho's experience that the KKS can say these words of wanting to be rewarded for all their hard work. (Probably to do with Riho's graduation?)

Churi brings up Ruka as I suppose an example. Saying that Ruka works so hard she gets depressed but still never misses a lesson or performance and she is enjoying watching Ruka grow into an adult but there is still a a long way to go.

She says a few things about Juna and how she's down about everything and that's why she wrote the post about being upset about things in SKE.

Seems like she was quite harsh on them in the chat after the stage and everyone was in tears but that was just the sort of atmosphere of the talk rather than what Churi was saying according to her.

Seems a bit like a storm in a tea cup. But Juna seems to have taken it really badly apparently.

I don't know exactly what Churi said to the KKS when she kept them late, but there is NOTHING offensive in the g+ post that was deleted. It's absolutely ridiculous that post had to be taken down to begin with.

From the posts, all I can gather is Churi asking the KKS whether they're giving their all, but the KKS just act like entitled little shits.

Yeah, SKE's management is fucked up and should've treated their KKS a lot better, but you can't possibly think Churi is in any position to do anything about it. Remember how the only way she got Aki-p to write KII an original stage was by shouting it on live TV?

There's nothing offensive in the post, PERIOD. Hell if you're gonna talk bullied, Churi is the one getting bullied here. They forced her to remove a well-intentioned post that said nothing offensive whatsoever, and now all people can see is her apologizing for a post. They don't even have a clue what was in the original so they'll just assume the worst of her.

The KKS were depressed and unmotivated as you could see in Juna's post. Churi tried to motivate by them using examples of other girls who have worked hard, that's IT.

To be fair, these are the numbers for the album events, and most of which are overpriced moneygrabs.

The 2nd column especially is really just a scam. You get to... take a picture of the girl in front of a plain white screen, on your camera. And oh, you can only choose from 3 pre-determined poses for the girls to do.
