I've been putting off alot of the weekly quests that are further down the log. Do any of you have recommendations for completing the 300/300/300/100 weekly quickly but efficiently and the the 50 transport ship one?

Also which one of the world 4 stages is easiest to get to and clear the boss for the 12 kill one? I've basically never had a chance to really do world 4 due to resource stockpiling between events

4-2 with all sub fleet. You farm steel and lose minimal fuel and ammo in exchange. The most you spend are buckets. My record for clearing the quest after unlocking it is 2 hours or so.

Around 40-50 or so, but I doubt you'll need a much smaller amount with any other method. At least, I can't think of any.

If you haven't already done Souryuu or marriage quest, you could try doing them and rack up a few counts first.

also I forgot to mention that I'm HQ 99, and I got the rest of my subs (Goya, dechi, maru, etc.) except imuya during the last day of midway. Do i have to get them to kai and modernize them for this to work? (i'm worried about losing the ability to 3-2 if their repair times spike)

It does need Kai'd subs for it to work well, so the method might not be for everyone. Unless you have dupes you might need a good 10-20 extra buckets, though you still shouldn't need more than 60.

In your case, I don't think it's worth bothering with for the time being, unless you're that desperate for screws because it cockblocks 5-2. But in that case, do the world 3 weekly first.

And Maruyu is useless for 4-2, don't bother with her.

I don't need screws IMMEDIATELY, but I will eventually. I'm targetting the 20 and 35 cm guns for upgrades, which will cause me to use up 14 screws a week tops, meaning Ill need to get at least 8 screws from weeklies to have a net gain, and i'm assuming the 8-10* medium/heavy guns need like 2-3 screws per attempt.

In that case skip the world 4 quest, at least for now. Doing all the other weeklies gets you 9 extra screws a week.

That said, I'm not sure it's worth upgrading the 20.3cm guns. I prefer to upgrade my torps instead.

you need to do either the 2x S 5-2, which requires 12x world 4 bosses, 1x 4-4 boss, (and actually unlocking 5-2)

or you do the which is easier but 1-5 A rank x3 quest which requires you to sink 50 transport ships and do the 300/300/300/100 weekly, both are kind of time consuming.


I average about 3 bucket costs per world 4 sortie, so thats roughly 45 buckets per week, and lets say average out at up to 60-75 for any major misadventures.

On the other hand the alternative. Either you trot out some low maintence high bucket submarines, or high resource/low bucket fleets. Assuming you do something retarded like bring 4 kai ni fast BBs and two CVs your going to eat up like 400-600 fuel/ammo per sortie, but maybe only need to apply buckets every 5 runs or so barring terrible rng.


From what it feels like it might be easier/cheaper just to bring a medium/high end fleet through world 4.

The kicker however is the cost of S ranking the 5-2 boss. Which I personally have no knowledge of. Anyone can share some input on 5-2?

to elaborate. Basically its like a strengthening system you see in rpgs/mmos. Weapon gets improved by a +1 for a small resource cost along with a screw/development material.

For specific weapons, once they get improved to +10, you can "upgrade them" to a better weapon which are usually only acquireable through kai ni ships or ranking. For example If you +10 a 35.6 cm twin gun, you can get the prototype 35.6 cm triple gun, a rank reward weapon.

for the 20 cm, you can upgrade it to a type 2 gun, which can then be upgraded to a type 3.

These can only be gotten by kai ni specific CA/CAVs, half of which are rare or require things like blueprints.

Its similar with the upgrade to the 12.7 cm, but main guns aren't as important on destroyers

Pretty much what I do for the dailies.

I'd go with Nachi and Ashigara since they're pretty much guaranteed to have a kai2 in the near future.

That one's easy with subs though, I can complete both together in under a day if I want to.

Exactly 2 CV and 1 CVL, rest can be anything that isn't a CV(L). You'll get a 100% chance to go to the boss node with such a setup. The first problem is if you go ABGD you have a higher chance of being crit to red by the BB at G as compared to Wo at C if you go ABCD. The second problem is S-ranking the boss, you need a little bit of luck to S rank it. But that's about it.

Oh, and go line abreast at the second node because it's a sub node.
