What transfers in awakening a card? Do you need to level up the previous card to max level first? Or is it like receiving a whole new card and nothing matters?

If they don't add some good ranking rewards to the awakenable list, all these summons are going to be even more over powered. Plus, it makes this update nothing but boring and detrimental (goodbye swords) to players who already played enough to get HUR rank reward teams, but haven't spent thousands. At least give us something worthy to upgrade. All the GUR summons are the best skills too. They've got to add some stuff like Tezcatlipoca, Linus, and RR buffers.

Hopefully this isn't an every event type of thing. Newer players are at a huge disadvantage not being able to farm FAW drops anymore too. This has just created an even bigger disparity in an already pay dominated game.

This has a chance to be salvageable by making this a rare event or adding some reasonably attainable and useful cards to the list. I should probably expect the worst though.

Is Mai Waifu a good card? I just started this game today, and it seems that I run out of reinforcements really fast doing the regular campaign. I don't know but it just seems like after I run out of reinforcements there isn't much else to do because then I'm out of resources. Should I only be leveling my resources things?

Yeah, she's not bad with crit being able to put out decent damage. The damage to all enemies skills are the best for clearing campaign exploration. Crits are pretty good with a team buffer (like everything), but even a self buffer could probably put down more reliable damage, since it's damage every turn.

As for buildings, there are lots of good places to start and things you will need. Resources are good to focus on, they also increase you xp earned and you'll unlock the level advantages faster (more comrades, vit/bp, etc.). Resources are probably the most important. The arena is great if you can afford it and the great temples are too.

You need to level your resources first. You can get through most of the campaign with 1 good card and the rest kept at 1 soldier. Don't recover your troops unless you have extra resources to spend.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to get to 3-3 with mai waifu, I was just wondering if there is any indication when their abilities are going to go off. I just keep spamming fights until I start with a special (unless the enemies can be one shot). Two others on my team have aoes that pretty much kill 3 if there are, mai waifu can one shot bosses.

I was able to complete First Chronicle, then got to 6-1 in Chronicle, and 3-1 in the event chronicle. Should I be getting further than this before my timer runs out for vitality?

Then should I be leveling these characters a lot, this was my team. It seems like some people from my friends list I just randomly put on there are hitting things for like 5-50k.

Upgrading your cards using arcanas is the way to make them deal that amount of damage, don't bother doing it untill you have a lot better cards. You should get as far as you can with your free vit, 8-6 in the campaign is the goal and finishing the event campaign. You can also try to finish the bingo in the event campaign.

You should be upgrading the resource buildings first, and just whatever you need besides that. The vitality buildings are nice, but not really necessary. Same goes for the rest of the buildings, only the resource buildings give you an advantage.

If it's about getting trophies for those card rewards, usually you have to duel others for the last 2. If it's about completing an area, there's nothing you can do but pray that the RNG favors you. Apart from a few zones that have to be 100% to unlock special areas, completing areas doesn't do shit so don't bother with that shit.

I wouldn't worry too much over 5% attack bonus.

The problem right now is Circe debuffs to extend your survivability, something healers and turn skippers also do. But Circe does it by decreasing the damage output of your enemy.

Unfortunately because Polaris and Jack o Lantern both buff your cards (and I now realize Matador does too) this encourages the Archwitch to just debuff the field (they won't debuff unless you've got buffs on). That makes Circe's skill useless.

Right now all she's doing for you is waiting for a proc from Jack o Lantern and any card can do that. So I would replace her even if you lose 5%.

Unless of course you think she's cute. I literally use Ribbon Girl on my second attack team (which I use for leveling up cards/friendship points) and I even went through the trouble of maxing her attack and defense. This is a card collecting game, if you like the card, keep it.

Any of those 3 is good honestly. Ygg and Magic school give you 1 extra attack against archwitches but the workshop helps you progress through building your city faster which is also important and often neglected.

Well, I wasn't planning on ranking when this event started. I just played at my own pace and awakened cards, then ended up this close to the top 500 after getting most of what I wanted done solo.

I can easily stick to 1-1 and skip witch gates when I'm completely out of resources to keep clearing them, though the pace of ranking without bursts of FAWs from stuff like comrade sending or witch gates is dreadful.

Just got this card, is it any good? The 4 rounds of opponents not moving seems great.

The problem with Belphegor is that she's a battle start effect. Turn skippers are great filler cards for a lot of teams, but all battle start cards either work on the first turn or just don't work at all for the entire battle.

It's generally not worth the slightly higher proc rate on an AW team, but it's decent in duels where the first turn is usually the only one that matters and high proc rates maximize chances of winning on that turn.

She also counts towards the old Pandemonium +15% ATK bonus, but most other cards in that set are unobtainable right now.

The trick to this is that the number of plays for each amusement park building resets as it upgrades. You can sell the maxed building, make a new one, play through that set, upgrade it, play through that set, upgrade it one more time, and get a lot of plays done per day.

This does require resources to burn, and it can only be done once a day, but it is possible to earn lots of coins fast if you're willing to go through the trouble.

I usually don't get anything until I have atleast 200 kills. After that I start getting a lot of drops though, I don't know if it's weird luck or the amount of kills has a say in the droprate.

It really depends on how you feel the proccs are and if you are able to do AWs/FAWs consistently. The thing is, most turn-skippers have 2 proccs, but if sulis proccs them twice, they can't procc on their own anymore. So it's basically still 2 proccs unless sulis feels like proccing her more.

How does alliance battle even work? The victory points aren't even going up after getting first place.

So I got my second Lilim, is it better to fuse them or keep both on the team?

What does the rest of your team look like? I would only recommend keeping two SR Lilims if you have absolutely nothing else better for other slots yet. If you have any team buffers, one good Lilim should be all you need to cap damage on taps, and the HSR can take more hits before going down if she happens to buff herself.

The amount of teams using fake accounts to improve their chance of going fever during the UAB is getting really annoying.

With turn-skippers I would probably use the self-buffer, but it really depends on what other units you have, do you have any sulis or other skill activators? If so you should use these with the self buffer and a turn-skipper. But really, critters are all about fast combat, you don't really need to stall for that many turns, considering 3 turn-skippers would skip 2*3*3 turns. You critter probably doesn't have more than 2 proccs, so a self-buffer would be more efficient.

No, they aren't.

With 3 sulis, 1 turn skipper, 1 self buffer, each time sulis procs she has a 50% chance of hitting your self buffer. A 19,999 attack Vitruvius with 1 300% self buff will deal ~89k damage per tap, with 2 buffs, ~412k damage per tap, and with 3 buffs 999k damage per tap.

Currently you can only encounter Empress Doll, Metatron, and Sophie outside of the usual AW and FAW in the witch gate. They can drop their respective cards though.

The next event mentions a new witch gate, so there will probably be different returning AWs.

Ways to level up.

Kill level 200 archwitches. Obviously if you're new this won't work. If you arange something with alliance mates or friends they can send you level 200 archwitches with less than 10,000 hp if they flee and send it to you.

Kill level 200 archwitches with a slime in your group. Has the added bonus that slimes have exp gain up as a skill. Once they're level 27, feed them to your card along with level up and exp arcana.

Feed N cards to a slime. Get the slime to level 27 and feed them to your card along with the proper arcana.

Feed N cards directly to your card. The slow, expensive method. But if you don't have spare slimes, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

What advice do you have for somebody who started playing 3 days ago? I used the free BP to get two Enyos before the event ended and have a headmaster, 2 hestias, 1 harihara, 1 dragon princess, 1 high vampire and 1 cyborg. I can kill low level AWs in 1-2 bp but anything higher than level 50 or FAWs I am laughably bad. Besides all that I have no idea what I'm doing

Doesn't matter, if you need the vit/BP just use one, but don't use them if it feels like a waste. It's really up to you, the later in the game you go the more they will be worth, but if you need it right now there is no reason to not use one.

I'm finally working on leveling and friendshipping my Archerhood from summer. Her heal is random? I'll have a card 3/4 dead and she heals a card with full health.

Yes, it doesn't include the exclusives of others summons. You can only get SR you can get from AW + the 10x damager of the event.

For example, you can't get the cards with the Witch Hunt skill you can get from Ultimate Summon.

So, it is only good for new players or people who don't kill a lot of AW.

Going to run out of swords soon. What do you guys do to stock up on so many? I mean, I get a sword from every 20 or so AW but that is no where near enough, and I don't really seem to get swords anywhere else.

I'm thinking about maxing my two Sulis, is this a good idea? Jack o Lantern is already maxed. Also what would a good change to my team be, any thoughts? Right now I can almost always 1bp FAWs unless I get AoE'd.

We went against a tough Chinese team on Wednesday that kept their points low last week too and they kicked our ass.
