Otaku beverage thread! Please use this thread for discussion of tea, canned coffee, beer, and other otaku beverages and beverage accessories. Feel free to use #teahou on Rizon for further discussion.

Do you have any cups or other items that you're particularly fond of using to contain or prepare beverages, /jp/? I've some nice infusers for my tea and a few nice teacups, though I don't often use the nice teacups because I don't want to ruin them.

I don't like tea, but I'm bumping this thread in hopes it will lead to a comfy discussion among people who do.

I'm thinking about trying a new tea off dens, finally got through the bulk of my houjicha, and I've long since been out of matcha.

So far i've tried:
Sencha sakura
Sencha fukamidori
Sencha zuiko
Houjicha gold
genmaicha extra
matcha kaze

I liked the bottom four the most. Anyone have any suggestions for what to try next? I was thinking a fukamushi and a kukicha or something.

I'm going downtown tomorrow.

What's a good new black tea to try? Something i can drink with milk and sugar.

Why not try a Scottish breakfast blend? It's traditionally consumed with both milk and sugar, so you don't have to worry about the flavour of the tea being masked by your additions.

What is worth trying? What will make me feel more in touch with my inner 2D self? I like sweeter things, usually. I couldn't even list 5 kinds/flavours of tea, so I don't know where to begin.

>> No.12469955

>>12469947
You sound really cute. I like that. Maybe you would be best to start off with a black tea, something that goes well with a sweetener of your choosing. Some teas are naturally "sweet", like honeybush, though they wouldn't be considered very sweet by some people's standards. If I were you, I would go to my local tea dispensary, and select a simple English breakfast blend or something very similar to that.

Don't you own a fumo or a figure or a dakimakura? Turn your home into the Imagination Station and get ready for a good time.

>> No.12469964

I have a few figures, but no fumo or daki. No fumo for the characters I'm interested in, and the daki I want is kind of rare and expensive.

>> No.12469969

>>12469964
Figures probably work best, since they are easier to clean and can sometimes be articulated to fit certain poses that are conducive to tea drinking and snack eating.

I'm not trying to be funny or stupid, but I don't know what you mean. Unless you just mean a place to get tea. Or do they have dedicated places where they specialise in tea or something? That would be cool, but I never heard of a thing like that.

>>12469994
Sorry, I was trying to sound like a member of the Bourgeoisie. But yeah, a "tea dispensary" is basically just a place that sells loose leaf tea. There are a few of them in my area, but if you don't have any in yours, then your best bet might be to order online. But you'll have to ask someone else about that.
