Drum-girl, Seija, Wagasagihime and Sexibanki were all good characters. I would argue that designs have gotten better and better, you are just biased and not giving them a fair chance against your favorite girls that get daily dose threads

SA characters are shit. A bucket, a fattie, transparent skirt gym clothes loli, another black cat, another fucking bird, and a couple Backbeard tans.

Alright, you've got me there. Chinese people don't actually exist so there's not much for ZUN to work with, but her rainbow attacks are pretty cool.

As far as the girl in pajamas. Ribbons. You know how the first boss had one red ribbon? THIS ONE HAS AT LEAST FOUR RIBBONS. BLUE AND PURPLE. She's a mage that whoops you not once, but twice if you clear the main game. Hell yeah people remember her. That can of rape cannot be closed. Frickin' pandora's box. Best part, she's an old friend of the oldest vampire before they got sucked into Gensokyo. She's a British shut in that drinks tea with her demon servant.

Oh. The maid. Three times. Three frickin' times you fight her. A European maid that freezes time and is modeled off Jack the Ripper? Instant silver. I bet you expected me to say instant gold, right? Because that's the saying? Nah. Silver. Silver knives everywhere. Did I mention she freezes time? 10/10 design.

The oldest vampire. Blue-white hair, yo. When you talk to her after beating up all of her friends and workers, what does she do? Calmly floats in and says she's full. That vampire doesn't care. If you were from where I was from, that would mean you're already dead. Scarlet Gensokyo. Bet they still wish these British vampires were still in the real world.

Oh. The little sister? When have you ever seen a vampire with wings like that? Not only that. Fighting her? Visually stunning and just as lethal. Still memorable a decade later. 11/10
