I feel that people migrate from one board to another when they grow up. For example, I used to post on /b/ in 2005. After a while, I no longer enjoyed the typical /b/tard antics (which, of course, were quite different from the /b/tard antics nowaday), so I moved on the the board that matched my interests best, /a/. This probably happens a lot of people, so demographics on any given boards are constantly shifting and evolving. Gah, this is why I got fed up with those people. It was very clear that most people who picked up a show didn't do it because they actually enjoyed or were interested in it. But merely to fit in and join the discussion.
