Why is Hello Kitty still so popular?

There's a Sanrio store in one of the malls nearby and I remember reading on /jp/ that on Hello Kitty's birthday (or maybe it was Sanrio's) they have a Hello Kitty mascot at the stores, and inside that mascot costume is a sweaty girl whose girly body is obscured by that big costume.

I have a bit of a thing for girls in costumes. Body suits with anime masks doesn't do much for me because you can see the shape of the body, and that's not as arousing as hiding it and leaving it to the imagination. For that reason the best sorts of costumes are those big mascot costumes because they hide almost everything about the girl inside and they most always have poor ventilation so they make the girl all sweaty and smelly inside. Buffalo Bell is another good example.

It all started with Haruka's panda costume. The torso is pretty loose so you don't see much of the shape of her body. But if you know Haruka, you know that she has a nice body. It's a turn on.
