/jp/, I've been out of the Vocaloid bandwagon since August 2010. I wish to get back to it, but I'm at loss.

I've found two nice catalogues, VocaDB and Vocaloid Wikia, but no comprehensive download sites.

I've found some dead links, though, like MikuDB and Doujin.us, which seem to have been good ones. Apparently the latter was working until one or two months ago, so I must ask where you get your chipmunk songs currently.

Oh I was once approved to AnimeBytes and it expired before I saw the e-mail, never got the patience to fill the form again.

But guess if nobody suggests anything better I might try it again.

There isn't really a suitable replacement right now. A lot of things end up on VNSharing and JPDDL, but not everything. Here's the MikUDB replacement that's still being fixed up.

Oh, thanks for those.
I could find two of the albums I've been looking for at VNSharing and this new MikuDB.

Still no cigar for 融合恋愛. I've also tried rutracker, regular torrent sites, Nyaa and buying sites - only physical copies available.

Can someone with an AnimeBytes account check this one for me? I'll try searching some IRC communities as well.

Are Vocaloid fans withering? Back at 2010 I could find tons of links to pretty much anything.

I just type in the name of the song into google and keep clicking through search results until I find a download link.

And a shit ton of Touhou ones.

OP here, downloaded doujin.us's old .sql file and will now attempt a turbonerd maneuver to interpret the table and find the download link among the 15000 others. Hope it's not dead.

>>12232227
your question isn't worth an entire thread, and doing the same thing as the idiots who spam touhou doesn't help anything
anyway, isn't most everything that was on doujin.us on the new mikudb now?

Ah, I forgot the mention someone upload the uploaded the old database to a Google spreadsheet.

Hell yeah! I could kiss you right now, anon. Unfortunately this table seems incomplete, since I can find the album in the .sql, but not on the spreadsheet, so I'll keep meddling with it.

>>12232230
No, it isn't. Doujin.us's owner even called them idiots for doing a Wordpress blog for a database.

How about producing, is Pocaloid still the best option?

I'll be using Miku.

Seriously, what the fuck? They look straight out of Beavis and Butthead or some half-assed yaoi manga.

I discover new songs usually through Youtube or Niconico just by clicking around. VocaDB is a good place to start.

I have a flash ripper that I then convert the videos to MP3s with a tool called Format Factory. This gets the song in my roster/playlist. I also try to follow the producer on Twitter, and if possible, buy the song properly on iTunes or Amazon, etc. to support the production.

Yeah, I know. It's not so bad if you track it to the NicoNico source video - they have much better audio track quality. I was under the impression that OP was looking for ways to discover new tracks (which can be obtained however).

I know it's a pretty low quality in the grand scheme, but I mostly listen in my car commuting to work and the road noise makes getting HQ files less worthwhile.

if you need download sites, check here. It might not what you're looking for, though. I checked Jpopsuki and didn't find anything there, too.

as for vocaloid fans, it's hard to imagine that they're withering away since the miku expo VIP tickets sold out within minutes of it being on sale. You just got to look where they are, both on the internet and in real life. I've yet to meet anyone in real life who shares the same love for Vocaloid as I do, and that's okay.

There's a whole category for vocaloid songs dating back to 2008, you could also use it to download other OSTs

I love you guys this much.

I for one know a lot of Vocaloid fans, but they are all retarded weeaboos and I prefer to keep a low profile because I don't want infinite Project Diva generic songs being shoved down my throat.
The only okay Miku fan I know is an online friend who's even tried some productions of his own.

I'm hopin to start on some music production, as well. I'm just missing a few VSTs that are good drums, guitars, and maybe a sample bank. I'm too lazy to learn to play guitar.

I already do some stuff on my own, but never tried Vocaloid seriously before.

RIght now I've downloaded it and am searching for some info on voice articulation, any tutorial you might suggest to break up a bit of the robot tone?

unfortunately not really, but the only thing I could tell you is that there's a thread on VocaloidOtaku that has a list of voice configs yoiu can try to make your voice sound better.

I know it isnt much, but i hope it helps.
