You know, the Chinese call the sword the gentleman of all weapons because it combines many elements to form one elegant whole. Refinement and brutality, strength and weakness, hardness and softness

Therefore, being soft is all a part of being a master swordsman!

Please refrain from mentioning that the Chinese conception of a sword is a thin, double-bladed weapon, not the single-edge katana style weapon Youmu uses. The point is, she's a master swordsman because she's a master of softness!

I can't, because the dao was the chinese version of the single edged weapon, and was very much a machete type that was mass produced and given out to even the common soldiers and guards because the skill cap only took about a week to get proficient in it. Softness need not apply.
