I used to listen to metal bands such as myonmyon, CROW'SCLAW or demetori. Then for a very long time nothing. Now I'm trying to give a chance to doujin music once every few weeks but I only get mad because it's always on a very low musical level and these bands/artists pretty much kill ZUN with their music, I mean they seem to not understand his music and just take his melodies without paying attention to all the little rhytmic licks and powerful moments. It used to be TaNaBaTa, but I got kind of sick of annyyy's voice.
I liked Demetori, but they're just getting worse and worse with each new album.
Then it was minimum electric design, but they stopped doing post-rock and now just do mediocre vocal tracks.

I'll go with FELT. They've really continued to impress me since I first heard Lies In Reality. The Rebirth Story II collection was just amazing; so many great songs from them over the years.
I also particularly like Girl's Short Hair, Hatsunetsumiko's, Cross Current, Aftergrow, Studio K2, and Thinktank.

I haven't listened to all that much from the last few years, though. I think it was C79 where I ended up with dozens of albums that took me months to get through and I got pretty burnt out on it all; it was only C85 where I started listening to things again.

These days, probably Pastyle. Of all time, probably Mohican Sandbag. I used to really like Sound.Iemitsu and Sound Infinity as well.

I've always felt that I should have listened to more AramiTama than I have but I kind of can't be arsed with it.

Not really into the doujin circle scene, but I started out with Touhou remixes and then I found Diverse System's AD: stuff and have been loving their non-Touhou related stuff for a while (especially L'Aventale). Any opinion of them and any other circles I should be looking out for?

Anyone knows more songs like this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFgdEPeotkk

According to this it belongs to the experimental genre, but when I search for "touhou experimental" almost all songs I find are trash, like they are all depressed and disorted rather than harmonious while using everyday sounds like the video I posted.

Since I'm not so into the doujin scene, I usually wait till Comiket or something. I'm in no real rush. There also used to be an uploader on Youtube who would upload doujin releases. Sadly, that channel is gone :(

By the way, do you prefer to have your music in FLAC or MP3? It's a bit of a hassle for me to always convert those flacs into mp3 or aac, so that I can play them on my phone.

if you convert music a lot and don't already use it, try using dBpoweramp, it's very fast and accurate

While we're talking metal, favorite album from R11 so far.

Additionally, the Emotional & Reason collab albums are really good. The Love Live inspired collab album from 国立音ノ木坂学院ヘヴィメタル研究部 is fantastic. Also Clockwork's Tracer, Rice Records (Break your Bullshit from R10 was sepcifically good), INFINITY, Chocolate lolita, あくたむし, VDAS, SPARESPINE, Register6, SST, and definitely a few others I can't recall from the top of my head would be my favorites.

He update his works quite frequently.
