You have to do Arcueid or Ciel to unlock Hisui and Akiha.

You have to do Hisui to unlock Kohaku.

So you can go Arc -> Hisui -> Kohaku.

While Far Side explains a lot of the backstory of the Thono family and Shiki, the only thing I can think of it really explaining is why Shiki went nuts the first time he saw Arc.

Guess I was one of those few that managed to get onto Ciel's route in my first playthrough. Of course, I also screwed myself over in that one and didn't save, so I restarted and did them in order. But still, going through it randomly got me to Ciel. I guess it was the first choice.
