Got it from some old hag witch while was looking for a junk stone near the lumiest.

Recently i've been thinking about how to bring a Black angel pet up to South Tyris standards but i've bee feeling a little lost on that. I don't really think I know what sort of Melee weapons to give her and how to overcome the speed and Skill level most monsters of that level seem to have on her.

5000 base from a shopkeeper is pretty good, actually. Keep in mind that shopkeepers offer you a small fraction of the item's worth. Speed rings are also pretty useful, especially at your level. Consider that of 82 speed, a speed ring for 20 would raise your speed by 25%.

Just encountered met with Lityou. Lots of rods of heal and spells (weakness, slow and elemental scar) besides much sp to recharge, a life of my party, make wall and rod of teleport to move fucking mobs, were used.

Lityou is nothing weak to me, but probably would not have problems of such magnitude if it wasn't for the damn mobs. I know they are supposed to be around, but- b-but in a moment I almost died decided I'd better escape, probably getting another pet killed.

Stag Gods and Element Dragons are stupid OP. I can handle a level 300 dungeon, but if one of them pops up I can't even clear a level 150. How do you deal with them? They deal thousands per turn and take way too long to kill.

Well its all a matter of luck. With times stop and dual wielding, I *usually* am able to CC just about anything before they get a significant attack in. But yeah I usually get one shot if I go for max damage and fury myself and the enemy. I'd considered switching to PV but I wasn't sure if it was better overall or not.

Since they tend to fail, you're probably better off just leveling the spells, since you can get off quite a few of the spells compared to the scrolls. Holy light rods might be a good alternative once you're able to recharge them occasionally, although recharging tends to make rods explode way too often.

Speaking of 1.37, I just ate the nun and the healer from noyel (adventurer summoned a monster that killed them) and got the lines "You feel as if you've been corrupted." / "You are no longer afraid of the dark". I didn't get any ether problems from it, and I have the mutation that lets me eat people.

Is this new? I don't remember ever getting a line about feeling corrupted for eating people before, is it specifically the nun-icon characters?

This is what I thought too, but the Plus chart for corpses on the japanese wiki lists them as adding dark resistance. I was thinking about importing the list to the english wiki, but there's already a smaller list there. Anything should be able to import from normal Elona to new Plus versions as long as you do the save inside a town. Other than a few different starting skills on a character, early on there shouldn't be that big of a difference, so importing shouldn't really cause you to miss anything.

No, what I meant was that the reason you're supposed to go in the Cradle in the first place is that you are looking for Marka or something. You should be fine once you talk to the right person, wherever they are. Once you reach the 4th floor, Marka talks to you and you have to go back to Erystia again before you can do anything else.

In level 300 dungeons there are far worse things to run into like a Nyarly or five headed god so you should probably grind more before setting foot into one. If you want to persist even despite that though then try getting a 4 Dimensional Pocket Spell and a rod of change creature,put it into the pocket and whip it out and use it whenever one of them gets in your way.

Unrelated, but for some reason they decided to attach the class feats to the name of the class. If your original class feat doesn't work, you might want to use another business card to pick up one of the feats, although they aren't really game changing. The class feats aren't that great no matter what you pick. The odd thing that popped up recently is that someone found that the golem's dim resistance is tied to the race name somehow. I don't know if that means you would lose it if you changed the name or not. Other than that particular race, the other feats seem to be independent of name, but you never know with some of the weird mechanics in Elona.

Those minor things related to the class feats themselves are actually quite major after grinding for a while, or reaching late game. For example:
Thieves - 100% crit rates against enemies not in battle - raises your Eye of Mind skill to unbelievable levels.

Wizard - Reduces MP consumption by 10% - self-explanatory.

Warmage - Increased Spell Casting success rate by 5% - quite imperative if you use dual wield or shields with casting to mitigate the penalty.

The thief one is a lot less useful than it seems, since you you've got a very high chance to crit (based on stealth?) enemies that haven't detected you yet anyway - thief just raises that chance to 100%.

The Warmage feat is probably the most useful overall, but Priest and Predator aren't too shabby either.

I had an easier time dealing with Siva rather over Yerleswood, somehow.

Did something that Windows 8 or Elona didn't like, and had to spend the better part of 2 hours renaming 70 music files trying to figure out what was wrong. Suddenly it didn't like spaces in the file names, ugh.

Yerleswood's weapon with it's pierce is likely the problem. I didn't beat him with my current character until I ran into him in the Void. The Shield of Thorn damage reflection helps with him too, but when he ends up doing over 10000 in one hit only a decent leveled contingency can save you.

The first time I faced them with another character, I had a pet army do most of my fighting. Siva really raped them hard, and while I had a bell of termination soak up most of Yerleswood's damage, he couldn't survive Siva at the time. That was many versions ago, though.

Are there any easy ways to get the Mag-Abyss? His mana burst kills me every time...

Used Metal Guard to prevent myself from dying in one hit. He then cast it a second time, which (since I'm guessing his mana was already drained) killed him. Killed me too, but eh

Yeah, I first noticed they cut down on how much they were carrying with the blacksmith. It also seems that they changed what rank certain things can show up with vendors. Higher class deeds seemingly will never show up in uninvested lower level shops. Initial souvenir shops like the one in Larna also don't seem to carry recipes either. It's one of those changes that seem to be grouped with the No Fun Allowed ones that don't make the game harder, but are a real pain sometimes anyway.

Easy way to get some reasonable Miracle gear is to trade scrolls of oracle and any other item you have they are willing to take.

One easy way to get some miracles you can potentially trade for is to go to Yowyn and kill Gwen the Innocent over and over (reinitialize the map every time).

Yes, but you do also have to have enough favor for the last gift when you pray. You might have to enter the month with that god, too. I tried it with changing a god (at the truce ground) and getting to max favor, and the prayer didn't work. I'm not sure if it counted as invalid because of the prayer for conversion, though. I didn't try converting in another town, then coming back at 4025 favor.

You can also invite the gods you pray for to the first floor of your home if it's rank 1. I don't know the point of this, though. The good news is that if they somehow decide to kill you, they aren't hostile when you respawn.

Performing has taken a serious hit on it's own, but you get an ability called ensemble at 30 performing skill that lets your pets use their performer skill to help out. It takes a while to get it to 30 now, but you don't take nearly as much damage from a failed performance rock.

It's still probably faster in Plus to get your combat strength up. Dungeons around level 400 give the max of 999,999 gold when cleared. That's closer to endgame, though.

I used to wield the Gemini in my ranged slot, and I sometimes swap out Mournblade for the Diablos. However, most of the monsters at higher levels give too much damage for me to deal with without Prayer of Jure spam and the Shield Tonfa :/

I tried both. Dominating them gives you exactly what you catch, but if you monsterball one you get a "Ball of User" which randomly gives you ANY custom pet / moongate pet that you have saved when used.
