The dual screen of the DS seems to make it perfect for visual novels (not to mention the touchscreen). I'm actually surprised that this wasn't done sooner. But is it really easier to make your own engine from scratch than to port onscripter over? You must have already had quite a good working knowledge of how onscripter reads scripts, or you must've spent quite a lot of effort/time to learn it.

Regardless, I hope you keep going. If you do, do you think your engine will be a generic onscripter copy, or Tsukihime-specific? Kagetsu Tohya and Narcissu would be neat if the former is the case.

You've coded a VN engine targeted at the DS.

.sc.nds: supercard or something
I`m not quite sure myself, but the makefile automatically makes the stuff.

I'm a homebrewer and modder too, it's good to see Tsukihime on another portable I own since the PSP slim right now is a pain to get a pandora's battery done for :)

Great job and please keep us updated on it!

http://www.ds-scene.net is a good site to send your homebrews to keep us updated on.

I'll love forever if you do this OP. FSN would be the cherry on top of an already delicious cake.

didn't you get the memo? UBW installer will port F/SN to every platform, portable or not.
Personally I'm looking forward to play FSN on my SNES, fuck yeah.

Which is better R4 or CycloDS evolution?

Hey OP, have you heard of the fan-port of Turkeyhandle (H-version, in moonspeak) to a GBA ROM?
It's not too tough to find, just search "Tsukihime" wherever.
While working with a single-screen program may not be as appealing, it's worth a look to see if you can hack it.

They're all good. M3 Real would be another alternative. I got CycloDS for the Wii compatibility (but I think the other said cards should have it as well by now)

While nothing about vnds is there, any information about it would be on http://digital-haze.net/

Also a question: In tsukihime, it there ever a time when theres 3 people on the screen at the same time? like, taking up the left, center, and right spaces.

I SOLVED IT!

The title screen has full colours, but the other images only have 256 colours. Setting one of the backgrounds to full colour palette fixed it.

>> No.125690

>>125595
Looking forward to it. Thanks.

Huh. Seems almost counterintuitive to me. I figure the DS would have an easier time rendering something that has fewer colors, then again I wouldn't be one to know.
