I'm east coast, I usually am willing to try playing eu people but if its over 4 delay I don't bother. Those games don't work well because cross is kusoge and VP isn't based on a vn/touhou so it's not going to catch the interest of non fighting game players for the most part

While it's just a theory of mine, the most notable decline as far as netplay threads are concerned, probably happened at the same time as everyone decided that /vg/ should be a home for VNs.

It seems like a decent portion of the steady user flow that existed perished back then. No matter if they were regulars or not.

I went in that chat room the other day and it was ~15 people, but when I asked if anyone wanted to play on the east coast, they ignored me, then 5 minutes later 2 other east coast people who were their set up a match together

Good thing you stopped those unsafe shielding attempts halfway through. Only try to shield when you can afford to take the damage or have a proper follow-up prepared.
Also, try to use your magic circuits. I think there was a round where I think I lost like 20K HP, but I could heal it back and turn around.

I'm using the shield precisely because people don't expect someone to use it so often because "unsafe" etc. As you saw, I'm more of a passive player playing on guard, shield and silly counters like that simple A against air.

As for the magic circuit, I just use it when I feel like it, I don't rely that much on super attacks or regen. Did not use a single Burst I think.
