Considering that all characters in the manga are unable to think silently and have to start a monologue every time they use their head, Alice's case isn't that abnormal.

Thing is, fanon Alice as most people hate her is just a extreme example of canon Alice. It's based on hints we are given in game and run with by imaginative doujin artists before eventually being molested by fan fiction writers and role-players who are obsessed with this extreme version.

I like how some doujins depict her and I think it would be ignorant to say they are all completely incorrect. I like a mix between the strong Alice that gives Reimu and Marisa trouble while doing things on her own for the most part along with the Alice that is a bit lonely and seeks their company but puts on a strong personality around them.

Right, because when you tell someone you have no problems you always tell the truth. Yeah, Alice isn't the mess she's made out to be in some fiction and she's a lot stronger then given credit for, hell, she chose her lifestyle and she gets invited to events so it's not like people ignore her... but there are hints, after all, nailing straw effigies around the woods behind the shrine and taking drugs to give her good dreams aren't exactly indicative of a healthy mental state.

Canon Alice seems to be interested in Medicine. Well that's logical if you consider the fact that she wants to make a real living doll.
Personally I don't think the canon Alice is moe-moe or tsundere, but I don't think she's a cold bitch either. I mean come on, she even has a doll stand and performs play for the children during the festivals.

Touhou's are capable of being polite. After all they are in the Scarlet Devil Manion, starting a fight there wouldn't be proper, not to mention both of them seem to make a effort to hide the fact from the community.

So why is Mokou so close to Kaguya? Both probably can't help being drawn to one another through hate, swapping petty insults and quips. When they go home it's time for another fight.

I don't think it's been strictly said that Letty or Lily completely disapear out of their respective seasons, I think Letty just sleeps through Spring, Summer and Winter but it doesn't have to mean she can't be woken up for certain events... or it's Winter and Lily is around because I don't think it's been said that Lily hibernates out of season, she's just active during Spring as it's herald.

Most villagers don't seem to think Yuka is very strong, hell, she even goes to the village and hangs around the flower shop without causing a fuss. It's possible only the strongest Touhou's know to watch out for Yuka.

That said, Aya was involved in the flower incident, maybe she thinks Yuka is old news. A strong youkai that doesn't really do much any more. Yuka's idea of a good time is to occasionally bully others and hang around fields of flowers.

It think Yuka just noticed someone picked flowers to use as decoration on the tables. I'm surprised she didn't snap and murder everyone in the room.

She visits flower shops in the village without going crazy, Yuka is surprisingly stable most the time. The problem is probably more when she has one of her funny moods while hanging around her fields, or if you outright give her trouble or burn her fields.

I've come to love the more subtle Yuka. Lately she seems to have a quiet slow menace about her.

Don't get me wrong, Yuka is a canon crazy bitch who picks on weaker and stronger Touhou's alike based entirely on whim. It's just she's not 100% crazy all the time.

Akyu may not be the most reliable source of information, but she's probably right about how the older and more powerful a youkai becomes the less active they are. Yukari being the ideal example of this, but the same can be said for a few of the others.

Yuka basically seems to have settled down a bit since her original appearance to the point some don't even know how powerful she really is. She is mostly harmless to weaker people and only really acts when provoked, but it doesn't change how she seems to completely lack compassion. During PoFV Yuka became more active because the flowers of all seasons were blooming around her and she wanted to take advantage of it, hoping it would last forever. In her good mood see decided, seemingly on a whim to go bully weaker youkai building her way up.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's just as crazy as she was, she's just slowed down a bit and takes her time with life. She's literally taking it easy.

Yes, but pay attention to the portraits too. Whenever Lyrica, Cirno, or Mystia defeats Yuka, what does Yuka's portrait look like? Yuka casually smiling and in pristine condition. What happens when Medicine and Komachi cross paths with Yuka? Flower youkai gets her ass kicked.

Well, not really. Medicine Melancholy manipulates poison, and it's a very potent and dangerous ability that can affect anyone human or youkai.

This is not far fetched. Reimu's pretty darn strong, but that doesn't mean she's undefeatable.

To be fair, Medicine's poison is explicitly stated to be a threat even to very powerful opponents. And Komachi's presumably no slouch in combat either, from what little we've seen and know of her.

I don't think either of them being able to beat her is really to the discredit of Yuka's GARmoe. Besides, everyone knows grass-types are weak against poison.

Well, Reimu's is nearly undefeatable and her way of fighting looks like cheating (for ZUN and Rinnosuke). Marisa is the strongest opponent she fights regularily and does really rarely lose, even though she always fights with that laid back attitude.
