I just joined this forum, btw ;)

i play every 3'rd or 4'th touhou game and TH14 was one of it, usually i just play it about 1-2 weeks on a daily basis and try to get better and better and then lose the interest because STGs aren't fun to play on a long term

The only games I play are from gust

I haven't made a folder for any characters past SA. Guess I'm getting tired of it. The cast of TD is pretty memorable at least.

I 1cc'd it a few weeks after its release and didn't really play it much afterwards, but I love the characters and some tracks (final boss, stage 2 in particular). I don't understand the hate it gets here.

Got acquainted with the girls on the release, went through dialogues and profiles, then promptly forgot they exist.

Shinmyoumaru made an impression on me because of her being so original and I guess I kinda took a liking to Raiko because of her laid-back, nice and cool personality. Other than that Seija is okay for a villain and the rest of them invoke as much emotion from me as cardboard cutouts. S1-3 girls feel more like living gimmicks (mermaid, headless, werewolf) than bona fide characters (with Kagerou being slightly more notable due to her being hot and me feeling pity for her after being bullied by berserk versions of playables). Tsukumo sisters, however is pretty much the nadir for me - they look more bland than most PC-98 girls AND have as little personality as pre-HM Ichirin. For all I care, they might burn.

Funny story, I never really felt anything like that about TD - it's cast feels more tightly knit, related and less one dimensional than DDC girls. Which, along some other reasons (better playable girls, more interesting system, more fun patterns that are not gimmicks) is why I don't play DDC half as often as TD.

There is a hack to get it to work on XP, it's like a one or two byte change. The game doesn't run on XP because the minimum OS version was set higher than necessary, so XP rejects it as an invalid executable image.

The DDC cast is better than TD, better than UFO, for sure.

Time will tell, but I bet they will be more popular than SA. The cutest DDC (Sukuna) is cuter than the cutest SA (Okuu), so its really just down to the side characters.

I've played this one a fair bit, and I know the characters up to Seija. I don't know who comes after her, if you want me to be totally honest, because I'm not good enough.

TD was mediocre at best, and the UFO cast was just horrible, so that's not saying much.
Still, hopefully this is a sign of ZUN getting his act together and bringing the series back up from UFO/TD.

Then again Patchouli's shot is ridiculously overpowered with being able to cancel other bullets and just sit on the boss like that while I run around.
