It's an indie shmup with trippy bullet patterns, nice music, and tons of fanart. Decent time waster.

It's something to fantasize about, just like WH40K, LotR, or a good sci-fi series (though I'm a bit more attached to Touhou characters than those from other things). It's also a series of games I play when I'm bored so /jp/ doesn't call me a secondary and a whole lot of fan work to spend time looking at, reading, and fapping to. As for believing in it? Well, it's an infinite universe, and when I read a fantasy setting I like to interpret magic as science that isn'understood, so...

Touhou Project reminds me of Mother.

To be honest, Touhou is something that helps me escape and everything like that.

Whenever I feel bad, I just think about the daily lives of my favourite characters and the great adventures they surely have or even the daily hijinks that often proceed.

I'm very attached to the characters too, so I guess by them 'having a good day' I'll try to have a good day as well.

It's why I like the setting to be a lot more light and happier than most, I suppose. Some people like their grim dark Touhou.

I felt terrible because it was as if I was invited into someone elses' home to stay for a while and it was very nice.

I really like Eientei a lot, so it was a treat, even if poor Reisen seemed to get the short stick of things.
