Why is it that the idols that appear in your dreams are ones you never really pay attention to? When they start speaking in English, why does it always sounds completely natural?

Just now I had a dream, while short and pretty unremarkable I can remember pretty decently.
So here I go.

I was sleeping at my house, for some reason in the wrong room, when I heard a lot of commotion outside. I got up and looked out my window and saw that it was summertime and there was a lot of people outside. I remember seeing my dad out there talking to people but he had passed away about 2 years ago. I didn't even think anything about that until now. I'm guessing we were having a barbeque. I checked the clock on my desk and saw that it was 3 something pm. I went back to sleep.
The next thing I remember is waking up because I was being called by Miyamae Ami asking "Hey, are you going to wake up?" "It's already this late" I didn't say anything, I didn't even look who was calling me. I just rolled over and looked at my clock and saw it was around 5pm and rolled back to my sleeping position.
Then she started calling again, saying something like "You are going to miss out if you don't wake up." "Don't you want to eat some cookies?" That's when I looked over and realized who it was she was wearing the brown blazer outfit that SKEs wear and was carrying what I imagined to be a small cardboard box of cookies. Once again I didn't react differently to who it was. I just said something like "Okay, i'll be out there in a minute." She gave a really sweet smile and ran out the room.
Next thing I remember is sitting at the top of my staircase putting on my socks and shoes. I saw 4 girls walking up the steps, they were following each other in a single line. As the first one drew closer I saw her hesitate and look away the direction opposite from me as if she was thinking about something. She then reached out her hand and introduced herself saying something like "Hi I am somebody, nice to meet you"

It's weird how that works out. I think I had such a vivid dream because I hadn't slept til about 10 am, and I got woke up again at about noon. The dream happened after I fell asleep the second time, and this is one of the best ways to induce dreaming.
