It wasn't love at first sight, but more like a crush at first. Yukari was that beautiful, perfect, unattainable woman that's too good to be true.
Then I started fantasizing a bit about her, which gradually became more and more.
One day I just noticed that she is causing me real and an intense lovesickness, and that I started to care about her as someone who is more than just an attractive person you crush on.
Although I don't deny that I'm attracted to the way she looks, that physical attraction has become more of a secondary thing compared to the emotional attachment I feel. I just want to be with her, and hug her, and never let her go and I don't care if she suddenly lost all of that beauty or has a sudden change in personality because even then her existence is still there.
She's unattainable outside of my dreams, and even there I can not fully reach her. But even so, these feelings fill me with happiness.

Started out with me trying to decide who was my favorite based on who was the most powerful (After getting into Touhou I ended up played Soku more than any of the shooters). I flicked back and forth between Okuu (whom I ike because of the nuclear power connection as well), Sakuya, and Yukari. Eventually I decided Yukari was the strongest (with the exception of everyone's favorite ice fairy). As time wore on, I realized not only did I think her power was the coolest, but I thought she had an amazing costume and amazing looks and an amazing theme and an amazing family and an amazing personality, and now she is my favorite 2hu.

It took a while, I guess. After reading a lot of fanworks I one day realized I really liked her. I like her because of the way she teases others and prefers to keep to herself, but loves her flower garden. I'd like to think she can be friendly and cute, too.

I had just gotten into Touhou, and I decided that playing as the fast, powerful character sounded more fun than playing as the slow, defensive character.

I don't get secondaries much. To me it makes sense that the first thing to do when you get into something is to experience the original material even a little. So, when I got into Touhou the first thing I did was DL and play EoSD and Soku (picked it randomly, didn't even know it was a fighter until I started it up) a bit and that kind of stuff. It's not like the games are even hard to download. I remember one time some guy on another forum with a Flan avatar (of course) asked me where to download EoSD. Kinda boggled my mind.

The first boss in the first touhou game I ever playeded. Not to mention she is the fairest of all maidens.
