Is Team 8 even supposed to be a real team or just a group of its own that deviates from the model sort of like Nogizaka? Size and purpose just don't match.
From what I've understood, it aims to create a group where each member is a representative of her own prefecture through TV audition (does each prefecture have its own stations?) and then have them tour the countryside. No real mention of them being involved in theater performances.
