EEOCA guy, EEOCA is the step below EOD for 12B's. I want to say EOD is a whole other MOS but I'm not for sure. EEOCA is only a month long while EOD is 10 months. I don't know what a peace time army is like, the only people in my unit that may know what's its like is the commander, first seargeant, and a couple of NCO's. I scored a 387 on my last PT test so I plan on going 18X while I'm at my top.

Flat feet isnt a big deal anymore, I got in with mine. Make sure you get a guaranteed job written in your contract in whatever the sysadmin or EE related AFSCs or whatever the computer nonner shit is. It will probably be a year or more for a slot to open up so that gives you time to get in shape. You could go officer as well with your degree but I have no idea how that works.

/jp/, my cousins married military guys. They were the same guys who forced me to drink a shot of whiskey and then threatened to punch me in the neck. It wasn't a big deal because, well, they were never home. After the army guy put in his four years he went back out as a contractor or something, and the airforce guy has been in training for about half a year now. The problem is that right now, both of them are home and they're at my aunt's house. I know the younger kids in the house are probably crawling all over them and doing lots of physical stuff. My cousin never wanted me to throw her around, but knowing that some guy may be having fun with her is making me feel very jealous and anxious. Is this NTR?

It's just for the holidays. At least I won't get punched in the throat if I stay home.

I would advise against joining any combat related career field seeing as how were entering peacetime. Unless you are damn sure you have what it takes to be SF/SOF.

As for your metal rod thing, no idea. I'd ask a recruiter in a different city over the phone, without giving away info that could identify you, and try to the gist of whether that kind of thing would be disqualifying. If so and you want to join anyways, then talk to a recruiter in your home town. Some of them are by the book types and others only care about their numbers and don't mind sweeping things under the rug. Its kind of hard to explain, I'm not telling to lie directly in that situation but you have to have a feel for what you can reveal about yourself and not based on the recruiter.

Any flashlight hobbyists here? My only incandescent flashlight I have is a Surefire aviator. Such a cool flashlight, producing a very warm hue without the use of heavy resin filtering used in warm-hue LEDs.

The only issue is the scalloping (it's the crinkles in the reflector, for all non-flashlightists), which was created before Surefire figured out the perfect scalloping pattern and density to produce that creamy smooth beam with just the right amount of unartifacted hotspot and graduated corona you'll see in their later flashlights like the L4. Consequently its beam is a little artifact-prone, especially thanks to the incandescent filament.

The 'torch' is a old scam, and wicked lasers is well known for vastly misadvertising their products as they are based out of China where trading rules are extremely lax. Some people tested the Torch and found out it was only producing 400 lumens, not 4000, and that it's extremely prone to mechanical failure as they run more current through the cheap light source than they're supposed to.

Aluminum anodized too I think. Heard about it regarding weapons lubrication, grease is far superior than oil for sliding surfaces and can also be used for threads. Only problem is that some of high-temp auto greases meant for CV joints and whatnot have graphite and it can cause galvanic corrosion over very long periods in humid areas. The military is not technically NEET in any way, shape, or form. It is definitely employment, they are often in formal training and every servicemember is automatically enrolled in the Community College of their branch and they receive credit hours for completing PME.
