I wish IE was as good as this. I had to be dragged away from it but when I started using other browsers my internet experience has improved sooooo much.

IE 10 (desktop) was actually really good save from a few minor graphical bugs - I mean you could nearly compare it to chrome, let alone firefox.

IE now just has a notorious reputation to deal with

It sucks. It's locked down. It lacks a TON of features. It's proprietary. It's controlled by one of the most evil corporations on Earth also notorious for making software that sucks.

It CONSTANTLY has had to have developers make hacks to make stuff that works in good browsers work with specifically IE because it's horrible software.

There are _far_ better free alternatives such as firefox.

Believe me, I realize that IE10 and Win8 are *functionally* better. However, this is the age where all forms of technology are going towards shittier and shittier interfaces that are unintuitive and more cluttered with useless garbage ways of doing things.

I don't use Chrome because it is notorious for spawning 10, 20, 30 bloated processes for each tab and taking several GB of ram.

Firefox crashes with Flash sometimes, however that it its only issue. I blame it on Flash itself.

While I don't use IE, I'd argue this point regarding Win8. I used it for about six months before going back to 7, and while in general it works okay once you install a start menu, there were tons of little things that bugged the shit out of me. Like how the fancy new task manager takes forever and a half to load, which is the last thing you want when you've got a misbehaving process that's already brought your system to a crawl. Or how the updater will reboot your system without your permission, potentially causing data loss (you can only delay it so many times before it forces a restart whether you want it or not).

The only feature I actually miss is being able to have a taskbar on my second monitor. Not a big deal, but it was nice.

My guess is that it is probably planned obsolescence. Since the initial Inori Internet Explorer 11 was able to perfectly run on Windows 7 and people haven't reported getting any bugs after installing it, Internet Explorer 11 doesn't seem to be relying on any OS technologies only found on 8.1 so there's really no good reason why Internet Explorer 11 can't be shipped out to Windows 7 at the same time as Windows 8/ 8.1

I, myself, personally haven't had any problems after getting the new Internet Explorer version for my Windows 7, but I have a restore point in case something starts making the browser go nuts.
