I was basically left alone at my house. Everyone else went out to a party and I just stayed home handing out candy because everyone knows i'm a beta. I'm not really good with kids, or strangers for that matter so I decided to leave all the lights off and tape a NOT HOME sign to the door.
I don't have a tablet or even a laptop and I was scared someone would see the light creeping in through my curtain-less window of my PC next to the door so I went and grabbed a fortress of blankets and pillows, dismantled my monitor and reassembled it on the floor. I then created a sort-of cave to shelter the light in next to my bed but some still crept through so I turned down my monitors brightness and contrast down to like 10% and i've been eating candies and watching videos ever since. I don't know when everyone is coming back so I might go out and throw all the wrappers and the paper sign out into a dumpster around the corner but I'm afraid of someone catching me in the act.

For future reference, hanging your comforter on the window with thumbtacks is a great way to keep the light from escaping. I used to have a towel thumbtacked to the bottom of my door to keep the light from going under into the hallway.

I went out to eat at the diner with my mom. On the way there were kids and parents everywhere, all over the street. It was horrible. We stopped at my grandparents' house who had their lights out and I couldn't even walk onto their porch without some kids following me until I told them there was no candy.

Guys, can I still be part of the club if I work from home? I'm supposed to start in a week or two and I'm supposed to work a minimum of 4 hours daily, maximum of 8, for a total of 30 hours weekly.
