The janitors are pretty inconsistent, but most of the time posting the following will get you blocked and banned:

-anime
-blogs
-images of real people, unless it's one of those idols
-learning japanese thread
-tea threads
-train threads
-politics

However, they will usually leave your thread alone if there's enough demand and discussion. This is why we have so many general threads.

I visit /mu/ and it has some good discussion / good threads somtimes. Of course its going to have its fair share of hivemind idiots because the board is so large, but that goes for any large board. I don't have that much money to collect music though...

Visitors are usually NEETS, Japanese speakers and /a/ immigrants who try to fit in. Personally I'm a /fit/ college student who has been studying kanji for some time and plays a lot of eroge. I've always just really liked the /jp/ community, it was sad to see the threads I was posting in yesterday get wiped out...
