Why do you buy figures if you are just going to let them rot in the box and don't even have space to display them? I'm a figure collector too (although not for moe stuff) and I wouldn't bother with something I have no room for. There is no point in it. You cannot really enjoy them this way, and the way you do it, it's just a cluttered mess. Atleast try to make it aesthetically pleasing. Geez, these figures are supposed to be inside a glass cabinet.

Thanks. The only reason I haven't taken a photo of the collection before now is because my latest poster is in very very very delicete condition. I was shipped all the way from Thailand and from 1986. Its in rather poor condtion and was printed on what seems to be an alnost tissue like paper. I'm waiting for the Christmas funds to come in so I can finally frame it before further deteriation. Taking it out huts it bit by bit. I collect mostly international Japanese cinema memoribelia. I'd buy specificly Japanese made memoribelia, but they rarely leave Japanese boarders. It's a rather limited market, so demand is high while sails are quick and low supply. I'll post everything in my new hall later tonight when I get home.

Loving it really, full 1080p screen, it has one of the most powerful processor on the markets, meaning you can play even 1080 anime with full subtitle support flawlessly. Large screen is great compared to having IPhone's tiny screen and the camera is pretty darn good, although not quite fully utilised as the manual settings are rather lacking. It is also quite resilient, being waterproof and drop test videos seem to indicate you won't break the screen from dropping it on concrete.

Only problem really is the Z1 is really big usable but bigger than the HTC One, it also only has 6 hours of battery life if watching videos nonstop.

its an older picture so i have a few more figures, manga, ect. now that aren't pictured there. Also I kept my japanese mangas/magazines/CDs on a shelf that you cant really see in that photo. Also in the pic that cant be seen is a kotatsu i built, but i was kinda standing there when i took those photos so they didnt make it in..

Unfortunately i've had to move since then and havn't had a location permanent enough to bother rebuilding it all. However around december it seems like im going to be getting a new place that ill be staying at long enough to set it all up again.

also if west coast kotatsu friend is reading this, i totally forgot about sending you those diagrams (just remembered now) and feel really bad about it. I'll try to draw up a set for you tomorrow and email them.

you are aware that the way you have the fan placed is actually not helping your computer right?

the case acts as a sort of seal, the heatsyncs pull the heat to them, and the fans blow it out the case. Thats how computer cooling works. If you have the fan positioned to blow into your case it cant push the hot air out. Turn the fan around and it might help more.

As a fellow art book collector, I'd suggest getting a set of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Office-Metal-Heavy-duty-178mm/dp/B000J69E5M/

I don't actually use them as bookends though, what I do is bend the base slightly so back is tilted to the angle and use it as a make-shift book display. They work really well.

My question isn't so much, "Why do you each have a whiteboard?" because the answer is obvious, but rather, "Why do so many people here have whiteboards?"

Was there a thread where someone said, "Hey, /jp/! You should all buy a whiteboard because they're super convenient!" or something?

These things were made for a purpose and denying them their use is a disservice to the items and those who made them. Unless you're planning on selling them, the only value that should matter is the value it holds to you.

There are plenty of ways to stop someone from harming/robbing you without resorting to murder.

A gun isn't like a knife or antifreeze in that it has other uses, it's a tool designed solely to murder another living creature.

this is incredibly offtopic of this thread, just stating that incase you forgot.

By your logic so are spears, swords, bows, fly-swatters, and mousetraps. Personally if I had to defend myself I would like to be the best equipped for the situation. And sure, im strong enough that in many scenarios I wouldn't need to result to a gun to defend myself. What about my 4'11 asthmatic sister, do you think shes so physically capable that if someone wished to do her physical harm that she could simply punch them in the face?

There are different escalation levels and there is such a thing as using too much force. If you push me or punch me in the face I would't and can't just pull out my gun and shoot you (unless you get me on the ground and start beating the ever loving shit out of me). However if you're using any type of weapon (baseball bat, knife, blunt object) or have multiple people beating on me enough to make me fear for my life/wellbeing then, yes, I would use a gun. However many altercations that involve someone drawing a firearm end with just that. Often times just making it clear that you have one is enough to cause people to stop and leave you alone. You can't shoot them in the back when they are running away either.

Also not every gun is designed purely for killing. Many are designed for competition and accuracy. A gun is a tool and just that. Not every gun needs to or does kill a human or anything at all. I also hope you arnt so distanced from reality that you forget where your food comes from. Yes we have farms and slaughterhouses now, but hunting is still a very real thing throughout the world, and death is death - it doesnt matter what caused it.

Great job, but I suspect the administrative staff puts more weight in the board's actual name in relation to its content then they do the set of letters its been arbitrarily assigned. It's why the board name was changed from Japan General to Otaku Culture. /jp/ isn't about Japan, it's about being a lonely, socially maladjusted faggot, just like everyone here knows otaku are in Japan.

Reposting a post that's been deleted is a great way to get banned, by the way. Nice job quoting all those people, though. Was a pretty good chuckle.
