It probably has something to do with nice day threads being around since 2008 if you ask me. Moderation tends to favor what has been accepted in the past after all. It's not unusual for them to be deleted quickly anyway.

I really dislike the idea that deleting shitposting off threads is considered "babysitting". It's what you're supposed to do when the thread is grey area or related to the board rather than buckle down to spammer pressure and get rid of the whole thread, or even worse, ignore it and let the entire thing fester for hours in the name of "user moderation".

Don't even know whoever is meido now, my old staff connections have either retired or shut me out over the years.

2) Your histrionic attention-thirsting threads have never been 'accepted'. They have always been despised by everyone. You know this. The only time they weren't deleted was when you were janitor, and when there was no janitor.

1. Agreed. Have never said the threads are a bastion of quality and they're deleted for a good reason. But it's still a nice tradition from a simpler time so I'm willing to risk the deletions for it. But we're in the same side when it comes to the idea that seniority means a free pass.

2. There's been detractors from the start, but there were people that found them enjoyable back then. And I deleted most of my own threads. You can go through the archive to check for the deletion patterns if you feel like it, but I'm sure you'll see they've been both allowed and deleted by all janitors depending on the day and arbitrary reasons.
