Yeah, I think RA only has the Gundemonium games on steam? And all of Nyu Media's stuff on Steam had Capcom as publisher. Doujin games don't seem to have much of a chance there.

I don't use Steam or have a PS3, but if they can make money by getting onto those platforms then good for them. Their target audience is pretty small and they probably need every extra sale they can get. I mean, they do good work, I don't want them to go under.

Come to think of it, a lot of the stuff that's been getting translated lets you play as a little girl and quality has been pretty good. Great, even. The Platine Dispositif stuff, Exceed, Diadra Empty... Kamui lets you play as a little girl, sort of. So does Flying Red Barrel, which I thought was pretty fun. Shame it didn't seem to interest many people, because it had some interesting ideas.

Yeah, I guess that whole trilogy is sort of aimed at people who have shmup experience already. Hitogata's bomb mechanic takes a while to get a handle on, and Gundeadligne's rank system just gets out of control. But Gundemonium is pretty manageable if you just want to 1cc novice/revised and don't care about beating the TLB.

The Twin Drill shot is probably the easiest to use overall. And playing aggressively really helps in that game, both because it keeps the screen clear and the extra lives from score really help. Note that taking out enemy waves quickly just spawns even more, but that's good since it lets you earn more onslaught bonuses from fast kills. Angled drill shots are good for taking out fragile enemies really quickly.

I don't know, just give yourself a little time, I'm sure you can pull it off.

I found a copy of Acceleration of Suguri (the first one) a long time ago but it didn't have all the playable characters and was very short. A version of AoS with all the characters would be awesome. I will look for it, but I'm not sure I will be able to find it.
