I don't understand. I don't understand how we could get this after 12.3. Someone please tell me why this is what we were given? It's just not fair.

IaMP was almost unplayably clunky with its arbitrary "change moves depending on distance" mechanic. A clear bare-bones prototype. Just like HM. "Declaring spellcards" is a terrible mechanic as well.

Well the roster size was seriously disappointing though predictable considering it is a new engine. But it had Koishi so it it won me over!

Koishi is now 2nd best Touhou. Japan agreed, don't bother them about it LIEBEEEEE

People were already whining about 12.3 being a copy paste and just adding more of the same, along with the IaMPers whining that they hated everything that wasn't like IaMP.

So they changed the system and brought back several "great", "iconic" IaMP features like having to telegraph all your supers in advance, having only 10 characters, and having none of the variety of techniques of the Hisouten series. Nope, just a few techniques and only 3 supers for everyone, including 1 that will rarely actually be usable in regular play!
