I thought you could burst by pressing abc while getting hit during heat but I couldn't get it out. Pressing buttons to reduce damage doesn't seem worth it since I end up airteching into another hit anyway.

GGs. You can only burst when you're in Max as crescent and full moon. Half gets an auto-burst if they get hit during heat, which might be what you saw. And since it reduces damage by so much and you can't get hit during airtechs anyway, it's basically always worth it to try to reduce. Just block or jump around and maybe shield if you do manage to airtech out of a combo.

The spectator mode is really wonky and I'm not sure how it works

From what I gather, it just lets you watch all the matches that the players have already fought, it doesn't let you watch the one they are currently fighting (every time I fast forward as much as possible, my game freezes and crashes, and every time I even watch as far as possible normally, it will just crash randomly)

ggs, nah, you probably just have to improve your blockstuns and mixups to break through guards, they were rather predictable and even punishable. The BnB's at least with Satsuki were alright.

Also god they changed a lot in AACC. I can't control WLen at all. I haven't played in a long while either.

A friend of mine tried ot host some matches. He opened ports (correctly) but i cant join him in caster. He also gets a weird ERRORf0001-0101-0000-0000 when trying to host in melty blood itself.

Any ideas? I did zip my fully patched folder of melty and uploaded it for him, but that should not be the issue right?

I used to play pad back in the early MBAC days until my 3rd pad broke, then I switched to a HRAP3, then I bought a TE and I bought a Qanba Q4.

Now I alternate between a TE with square gate and Q4 with an octogate.

Pad is good enough to play melty though, the only real problem is TK motions.

Anyone here having experience with playing this game over hamachi? I tried to host and the ping and all is fine, but there are massive framedrops or gamefreezes for both. We already set affinity and priority and used 1024x768

Oddly when i play with someone else from america who does actual hosting without hamachi we both have zero framedrops nor lag.

Hamachi itself doesn't do anything for connections. You can try hamachi with the American guy and it'll work just as well.

For framedrops, it can happen if the delay is too low. If it recommends 2, set it to 3 (or 4 if it recommends 3) and see how that works.

Here's what it looks like on my router settings, as far as i can tell its correct. Though to be honest I'm not sure what to put on "host ip adress" it has 192.168.1. filled out already so I'm just adding in a 1 since that's whats listed on my browser when I connect to it.

That's your problem.

1.1 is your router, you need to find YOUR local IP

open cmd and type ipconfig and you should have it

Only a few people were bullies when I went to Melty meets in NJ. As long as you aren't a complete garbage pad peon like me, you should be fine. Get some practice in netplay so you aren't completely clueless when you go, they'll bully you pretty hard if you don't know any of the matchups.

Nah, your fAkiha is getting pretty decent, if I remember you from before. She can be one of the more technical characters, so it's an uphill battle to become good with her. I've just had a lot more practice.

GGs. Gotta go. Mash less and block more, go into training mode and do bnbs over and over until you can do them without thinking. It helps if you can concentrate on the game instead of execution during a round.

Ahh, on KB I do the inputs slower/don't rush them if I want to TK.

Granted you don't necessarily have to TK them too, the ribbons make very good use of your aerial momentum. As well as even on something like j.A/B/C 236A/B can sometimes open your opponent up.

Yeah, when I play F-Akiha I usually end up paying so much attention to getting my inputs right that I forget to change things up, but that should hopefully go away with practice. As for ribbons, j.C j.2C j.236[B] is nice too, but I was too focused on trying to land the fuzzy guard on you to try that. Also, it seems like if you hold 2 down for a bit when TKing you won't superjump.
