The best kind of bullet is the one that indicates a direction, and its sprite-to-hitbox ratio is as near 1 as possible.

Is that STB? Does anyone else think that game is insanely difficult?

I somehow managed to get up to stage 3 before realising you could take pictures from a distance and hold the shot button down while focused to charge your camera quicker. Even after figuring those two tricks out I haven't managed to clear a single level of stage 3 yet.

It doesn't matter what you drink, just how much and how fast.

Most medium-quality vodka shouldn't have much taste other than alcohol, and if you cool it in the freezer, you won't taste that either. It also mixes well into most anything you'd think.

Whiskey and Gin taste pretty strong, but they lose the edge really fast with cola and citrus lemonade respectively, making for a simple mixer that'll get you drunk easy.

Rum is murder, and beer and cider are only useful for socializing. The only good grace beer has for the inexperienced drinking at home is that you can't make the drink too strong when you stop tasting the alcohol and accidentally kill yourself.

If you've never had a drink before, the best way to do it is to have a few shots/drinks, wait half an hour, drink another two and wait. Gauge how strong an effect it has, and continue drinking at a leisurely pace.
If you feel nauseous, drinking more won't help.
If you feel very happy, drinking more is a bad idea.
Don't drink more than 15 shots/drinks (6dl of spirits), and drink lots of water. Before you start drinking, make sure you have a bucket with a drop of water in it near where you expect to pass out in, so you can throw up in it. Also have a jug of water prepared for the night/morning, you'll likely feel very thirsty. Might go ahead and leave a painkiller there as well.
If you're looking to get wasted, that is.
For playing Touhou badly, shotgunning three shots should be enough to give you a nice buzz, and you shouldn't get nauseous and won't get a hangover.

As for getting them down, the easiest way is the generations old technique, first conceived by some pussy ass nerd who couldn't hold his liquor like a real man, passed down as a joke ever since:
Pour two shots in a glass, let out half a breath, drink the shots, and before breathing in, follow with water, juice, lemonade or beer for the advanced. This way you'll taste nothing, and it'll leave no taste.

Have fun!

Summoning different coloured UFOs doesn't magically make the stage different, you fucking moron.

>it's fun since you can't play the stage from memory

Except for the fact that UFOs stages are nothing but memo. You learn a UFO route and then tada, you never do anything different in said stage.

Yeah UFO is so hard that I can pacify the stage section for the first 4 stages with ease (pacified the first half of stage 5 on my first), I can perfect the first 4 bosses, also, with ease. Shou is the only remotely difficult boss. Byakuren looks pitiful when compared to Remi/Kaguya. Even if you do somehow struggle with Byakuren, her stage section gives you 5? 4? free bombs. Now considering her first, third, and fourth non spells are a joke, her second spell is memo, you can very easily bomb your way to victory in her fight. The only time you'd ever have to put a bit of effort into your dodging is for her final spellcard which is one of the easiest final spells in the series.

I don't even play UFO unless I need to and I'm good at it.

>> No.11010012

>>11009972
Shit player here. I always see Kaguya being considered difficult. Is this a higher difficulty thing? In my experience on normal she is by far the easiest end boss as I 1CC'd IN my second time ever reaching her with no practice.

I am a lazy and so I apologize if this has been answered before but which game is considered best for new players in Touhou?
In terms of difficulty where would the games rank?
Also would practicing by playing Shoot the Bullet and the other photography game be a good?

EoSD/PCB/IN for new players.

I'd still suggest IN, since it has tons of lives, spell practise and the border team has a shitlong deathbomb gap, and all the spells on normal are simple to figure out, so it's easy to progress on. Pretty good for motivation and alright for general skill.

EoSD is pretty simple as well, and in theory the lag and non-visible hitbox make it more useful for learning how to look at the screen and how to plan your movements. If you can deal with the frustration, it's a good starting point.

The photography games are excellent for dodging practise, and quick to try again repeatedly. Pretty useful if you don't feel like playing a longer stage, but still want to make progress on something.
