Did anyone beat that game on Lunatic? The description says it might be impossible, but i've never actually tried it. I've beaten hard mode and that was quite a grind already.

tumblr is a blog, but most people have an extension for it that turn it into something like formspring. vgperson is just on tumblr all the fucking time, so that's probably the easiest way to get a fast response out of him/her about Touhou Mother 2.

Do enemies and bosses actually get new attacks and what-not on higher difficulties? Or do they just have higher stats? If it's the former, I might actually replay it on a higher difficulty.

Only stats increase which basically means more grinding. I don't know how much they increase on lunatic, but hard mode was still doable.

Whole new game. Search for Touhou Mother. It's in English too. I highly recommend this game, but only if you played Earthbound and Mother 3.

I'm planning on playing through all three of them actually, but I've heard Mother 1 is kind of a slog. Thankfully, the only thing Touhou Mother really spoiled me on was Porky being evil and working with the aliens, but that had been spoiled for me years ago.

This game, man. It's been a while.
It fucking got to me on so many levels, and in different parts, too.
I remember crying in Magicant, during the final battle before the epilogue, and during the epilogue itself right before the credits roll.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head, although it made me feel a plethora of different emotions.

Wish me luck, /jp/. Can't wait to reach Deep Darkness.

Lunatic speeds up the rolling HP meter to insane levels. Might as well not have those rolling HP at all on that mode.

Well that's what I'm trying to do. But this section comes right after a boss fight and they don't give you a place to heal your party or any way to get healing items. If you're not constantly using your big bomb AOE moves they robo fucker is just going to get the other enemies to 9999 HP in a couple of rounds. But there's no way to recover PP and those AOE attacks drain it really quickly. Unless I'm just completely missing the area where you can recover your HP/PP, this whole section just feels like unbalances bullshit.
