I do think that it looks slightly generic. Is it the same artist as the previous game? The sprites in SWR and Hisoutensoku had a certain charm to them.

I've always liked it when artists give their characters weird looking eyes. I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't keep the same eye style in HM that they had in SWR/Soku.
