Me too. They're a good template for captions. The only thing I hate are redundant ones, e.g. where the picture is already an image macro or funny by itself, or where they're just repeating something in both the title and subtitle.

It's like those advice dog style image macros. They can be pretty funny, it's just unfortunate that people run them into the ground with unfunny ones. But to say any sort of open template is "always unfunny" is just dumb.
