This thread is a bad thread. Let's consider why:

- All of the reasons stated in the OP are garbage. Considering them one by one:
1) Even though assassins can cause Mokou physical pain, she actually enjoys it. And not just in a perverted sexual way because some people are into that, but because her eternal struggle with Kaguya is the catharsis after a lifetime of spiteing Kaguya for dishonoring her family. She has described their mutual assassinations as "the joys of killing each other, over and over." While any individual assassin might be a bother and an interruption to her daily routine, it is also an essential part to her happiness.
2) Kaguya doesn't consider herself a princess. In fact, when the emissaries from the moon came back to get her (note: after her exile), she hid because she preferred life as a normal person on earth to the boring and sheltered life she led as a princess on the moon. If the rabbits want to treat her like a princess, that's fine; no where is it implied that she's forcing them to act in such a way. Also, Mokou wasn't royalty, she was just from an aristocratic family.

3) She has only been locked up in Eientei because Eirin wanted her to be safe, but she actually likes interacting with other people. She likes to hold exhibitions to show other people parts of her culture, and enjoys telling stories of her long history to anyone who would listen. Although such actions aren't perhaps as immediately beneficial to someone than being lead out of the bamboo forest, they certainly serve a broader historical purpose.
4) Where is it implied that she is racist? I've pointed out a couple of times above that she prefers humans to lunarians. Hell, her entire houeshold is full of RABBITS.

- The fact that a "Kaguya is a bad person" thread became a "Mokou is hot/mai waifu/awesome/cute/etc" thread is based on the stupid premise that liking Mokou is a way of exhibiting hatred towards Kaguya, since they "hate" each other. Sure, in IN's extra dialogue, Mokou expresses mild irritation at Kaguya, and they do keep killing each other, but they must be on good terms. If they weren't, Mokou wouldn't feel safe leading injured villagers to Eientei for medical attention. In some sense, they have to be each others' best friends, since they are the only two beings who will truly live forever, although maybe I am getting into fanwank territory with this last assertion.

- The portrayal of Mokou as one who smokes (which has popped up a couple of times thus far) is also dumb. First of all, the implication is that smoking = badass, which is perhaps a cultural value, but I would argue is a cultural illness. Most of this thread is why I hate Mokou so fucking much. So many people trying to make Kaguya look bad just because they think Mokou is better. There is nothing wrong with liking a certain character but you don't have to make another one look villainous, when they are not, while defending the one you like. There has been other characters I disliked, not only from Touhou, but I either grew up to eventually like them or just ignored them. This is the first time I have DESPISED a character that much. Besides the 4 teams in IN, we don't know that Kaguya has actually sent any other assassins to Mokou. Although Mokou implies that it is a somewhat common occurrence, it's also probably safe to assume based on the dialogue that any assassin Kaguya sends to Mokou has bested Kaguya herself in a danmaku duel. Regardless, they always fight with danmaku, and so the assassins are in no mortal danger.

Also, I think that defeating the assassins would indeed be a psychological release for Mokou. The whole reason Mokou even drank the Hourai elixir was just as a way of being annoying to Kaguya, because that is her desire. Killing kaguya is just one means of doing that, not her primary goal. However, defeating Kaguya's assassins is also certainly an effective means of annoying Kaguya, and so she's cool with it.

Yes, she sends assassins against Mokou, I can't argue with that. Or, at least, she used to, it's unknown if she still does. However, she doesn't consider herself still a princess. I think that's quite obvious from the fact that both she and Eirin self-proclaimed to be humans and not Lunarians in BAiJR. Otherwise, she wouldn't have hesitated to call herself a princess of the Lunarians. She might not go out of her way to help people but she enjoys telling them stories and giving them information about the moon. Moreover, she has stated that she desires to do something beneficial for them since she is now a member of the Gensokyo society but she just doesn't know how. And no, she is not stuffy about being a Lunarian. She USED TO be when she first came to Earth but that's because she grew up in a place where pretty much everyone considered themselves to be perfect and looked down on humans. However, after living with them for a while, both her and Eirin started acknowledging them as equals. I don't think "terrible" is the appropriate word to use. It's mostly the Lunarian way of thinking and the Lunarian society who promotes it that made her look like a "terrible" person. Of course, a human who has grown up with a completely different way of thinking would be disapproving of Lunarias but I don't think they are objectively terrible. After all, those who still live on the moon also regard humans as "terrible". So, in my opinion, claiming that either of them is "terrible" is far from the truth. After all, Eirin's character is based off of the goddess Omohikane, in a setting where at least some of the truly ancient shinto deities - Tsukiyomi for instance - are rather open about "only" being foreign superhumans that neolithic Japanese mistook for gods. There's nothing to indicate that Eirin is anymore of a deity than Tsukiyomi is, just that she's a human that deviates noticeably from the norm.

To my knowledge Tsukiyomi himself doesn't have any lines anywhere, so one can always speculate that he is posing as a god, has since become deified somehow, or actually was a god posing as a mortal all along - but IN was rather blunt about how at the time, he was "only" an immortal sorcerer that left for the moon and not a god proper.
