Yes, as far as I can see Kikiyama really did do everything with the standard RM2K3 engine, you can open it up in the maker and see how he evented everything, it's really impressive.

I didn't collect all the gems yet but I already made a conclusion that Mad Father and Misau are connected, or related or whatever. Which is probably obvious for some people, but I still feel mindblown. Mostly because of Aya's dad is Novella's "dad" she mentioned, that he likes to do experiments all day

I didn't really like the epilogue of Mad Father, kind of forcing a "twist" when Aya turns into a killer at the end, just because she found a book with whatever reasons in it.

I just played through some of it myself, it's a really good game. Lovely music, great atmosphere.

I really loved the atmosphere of .flow. Almost liked it more than Yume Nikki. Yume 2kki was alright, still need to finish it.

I actually barely made it to Poniko's house a couple nights ago. Since I knew about the whole Uboa thing, I decided to try it after debating it for a few minutes to myself. I braced myself for a very long wait, but what I didn't know, was that it would happen after the FIRST fucking attempt. I jumped up and pushed my laptop off the bed and it turned off. Out of fear and frustration of not having saved in a long ass time, I ended up playing Resonance of Fate instead.

I was kind of surprised to see this in Yume 2kki considering how down Japan seems to look on illegal drugs.

This game had some cute characters.

It took me a solid half hour of trying to find Uboa

I play on their minecraft server because I'm lonely, but I don't talk to them. I'm afraid to. Every one of them is a meme-spouting twilight-age girl or a guy who is as beta as me, or worse sometimes.

One day out of curiosity I checked out the site as a whole and it's more of the same stuff from the server. Trips who avatar using pictures of themselves in real life, faces everywhere (not even reaction images, just typed ones), people who are so edgy I would be careful not to cut myself on their state of mind, and to top it all off I saw a real life picture/info thread where everyone was exchanging numbers and pictures while trying to hit on each other over the imageboard.

It's made me appreciate /jp/ that much more, knowing that is what this place could be but is not.

I played the game from start to finish on Linux through Wine, I don't see why you should have any trouble.

It has two ratings on Wine's AppDB. One is platinum (everything works), one is gold (dated 2010: it mentions an audio overflow bug that has since been fixed).

So the tl;dr is: use CrossOver or Wine.

Not sure how the RPG Maker engines work, but I'm surprised there isn't some cross-platform implementation, if it's one of those kind of game engines.

I've been having the weirdest fucking recurring dream involving my office.

It starts out like an ordinary morning, but when I get to the elevator, it's replaced by some kind of elevator contraption that looks like it's from the 1920s.

No, I didn't remember dreams at all until about 2-3 years ago.
Now I remember them maybe once or twice in a month. And even those dreams are usually short and ordinary, like me playing some game or browsing danbooru.
I've always been envious of people who constantly remember long and interesting dreams.

I've only ever remembered two dreams my whole life. One was playing basketball with Kobe Bryant, the other was just a grotesque mask slowly spinning around.

I found out that I actually remember my dreams, just not consciously. While trying to fall asleep on a bus trip, I tried to see how many scenes from dreams I can recall. First recalling just one was difficult, but then they just popped into my head and I remembered like 250 different dreams, some from decades ago. I'd assume this is the case for everyone else, too - the information is still in the brain, but recalling them while fully awake is hard.

I think it could be something to do with stress too, if you're currently in a stressful position you'll probably have a harder time remembering your dreams, as least I find that to be the case for myself.
